So our ghost is supposed to be our closest companion. It’s been through everything with us, and yet, we don’t really have much of a relationship with it. This is actually quite disappointing considering the potential of the little sidekick. The obvious way to fix this is with better writing, but there is another way.
With D3, Bungie could push the player/ghost experience to another level, by creating a physical ghost companion that connects to your game, and will interact with you based on voice commands.
Basically, what I’m thinking is you can use this ghost companion to bring up your menu, switch a weapon/armor piece, travel to a location, etc.; all by talking to your ghost. This would sort of refresh the mundane experience of dealing with menu stuff, while also giving more depth to the guardian/ghost experience.
Just a thought. It seems like an awesome way to bring the ghost to life, both in game and IRL.
