BLACK ARMORY UPDATE!

Effective immediately, we’ve made some changes to the Power requirements for the Lost Forges of the Black Armory. In [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uK8ywYCdhI]previous conversations[/url] about the Season of the Forge, we discussed our new development goals. With the Annual Pass, we set out to deliver an extension to the Destiny 2 endgame. We want to create a series of aspirational challenges to keep your hobby fresh. Over the past day, we’ve been taking in your feedback. It's become clear that we made the initial Power requirements for the Lost Forges too high, keeping those sweet new rewards out of reach. Some players at 600 Power have been unable to dive in and beat the final boss without grinding for new Power first. We have just delivered a server-side update to reduce the Power requirements for all the encounters in the Lost Forges by five. We fully acknowledge that this is a small move, but it is the one that we can make today. This is not the full extent of the changes to the player experience that we are investigating, but it should give Guardians at 600 Power a better chance at completing the activity. This response doesn’t answer all of your questions. There are still many of you asking how you can catch up and acquire the Power you need to join the quests to recover these Lost Forges. The answers to those questions are coming. We have some existing plans and some new ideas in the pipeline. That conversation will continue tomorrow in “This Week At Bungie.” Thanks for playing.   • Not sure why you give us 40 seconds... Have low Spawn rate of relic holders... And only give 1 second back per Relic... 5 second I think would be good. But one second....

    • Bungies only solution to things always tends to be add in stupid jumping puzzles or to make things far harder than they need to be and add timers.. They claim this is END GAME content yet majority of people who are at end game and paid for said content can’t complete the stupid forge activity .. The Bungie Devs idea was to throw in too many of the op adds into a small area just so players can’t run around and achieve the task at hand.. Then make these same op adds flinch you so much you are stalled or unable to complete the objective correctly .. But hang on one Dev said to another that just doesn’t seem enough , why don’t we add a ridiculously small timer to the event as they are always fun for players and put a level on enemies that is well beyond majority of the player base .. If Bungie claim to have reduced the levels it is purely only geek speak to calm the masses as the reality of the design for these forges is still inherently the same as I mentioned above and still setup for failure... Another 5 runs today at 616 light and still no completion.. the time runs out solely because the stupid design of forge .. orbs that are thrown 100% correctly just bounce off at random times .. op enemies can’t be killed sucking up your time and ammo.. ammo just not dropping properly .. now there are quitters or AFKers in forge ruining matches..

      • I think the community, could come out with better ideas of content, then Bungie. They seem to be half baked ideas and lazy developing. Our game looks good, plays good, but oh, who needs engaging content. Starting to think Bungie is incapable of innovation.

        • What do you think about this idea? The bounties for the augmented weapons should be for specific weapons, rotate 1 or 2 times per week, have a small aesthetic change and should offer a 4 perk and not a variant of the 3rd. that would give an extra value to old loot

        • I was able to complete both forges and the weapons but it was a massive grind. Did all my milestones and was only able to get to about 610 light. Got lucky being match made with some skilled people and got things done. That being said, it too me about 10 tries on each forge before we beat it. This was playing solo and match making. The ONLY reason this content is hard right now is because of the light level. That is it. Extremely lazy on Bungie's part.

        • My xmas wish is that this dlc proves that the vast majority of people complaining simply suck at the game. Instead of crying to daddy Bungie, why not get good at the game. Make some friends. Do the stuff. Level up. Get some stuff. I mean FFS PEOPLE its not rocket science?!?! I cant stand this place right now. 10% of us are getting it done and the other 90 are crying tears all night long. Get a grip!

          • It's "End Game = 650 lvl" Content. BUT... If you just work on power engrams, prime engram drops, and you only infuse what you "need" for forge (for me it was Telesto), use cover, and work with a team (mp titan, well warlock, arc staff hunter)... It's actually Super easy, already!! The real problem is, players forge weapon quests... Disappearing. THAT NEEDS A FIX ASAP!

          • Please for the love of all that is holy FIX the pick up rate for the batteries. It’s annoying when you have to stand over it spamming the square button because your character won’t pick it up. Those are the little issues that need to be fixed.

            • Forge still sucks. The bosses are all insanely op and the enemies do ridiculous damage just like in Gambit.

Keep reporting on your experiences out there in the wild.[/quote] @Cozmo, disappointing and inadequate response and does not begin to address the disappointment of your fan base not to mention the lack of information in TWAB where the conversation practically did not continue at all. You have received a huge amount of unfortunately negative feed back in a remarkably short period of time. Does this not tell you that "we have some existing plans" and "new ideas are in the pipeline" responses are not too reassuring.

              • Wish I could play the dlc. I've done all my milestones and I'm 608. Such incredible minds you guys must have to require hours and hours of grinding old content before we're graced with new content. Just so intelligent. Hopefully the rapidly declining playerbase numbers won't hurt your feelings.

                • Gambit is extremely flawed right now, forges are boring, crucible is full of sweaties, everything else is the same. No wonder the playerbase dropped below a million pve players and like 630,000 pvp a day or two ago

                • I just thought I'd show everyone that is new to D2 and anyone that forgot what was offered in D1 for (free) https://www.vg247.com/2016/04/19/destinys-april-12-update-everything-you-need-to-know/ Bungie needs to do a hell of a lot better for $40 especially knowing they plan to stretch this out for an entire year.

                  • so what else is there besides forges? isint there anything to do besides forges? i paid for this dlc to have alot of things to do i findmyself repeating the forges over and over and over and over... what else is there? please dont bait us with the event coming tuesday that has nothing to do with the dlc we paid fir what else is there to do? this dlc is lower then osiris dlc smh what were you guys thinking

                        • The only RNG based forsaken exotic that I have received is Black Talon... No other weapons or any armor at all. Why would I buy black Armory when I have yet to receive the content I paid for in forsaken.

                            You mean, there was actual content, cause I can't access it, cause I need to be 620, and it'll take two weeks, seriously. Cringe worthy of Bungie. Dark Below and the wolf content in D1, was more worth the money then the annual pass has provided so far. New strikes, and new modes, not another horde mode. I'm starting to despise game developers and the game industry, might have to find a new hobby at this rate. All about money, but not quilty, can't you at-least learn from Gearbox, with Borderlands content. They can tell story with out utilizing tons of cgi cut scenes.

                              So when is the issues here going to be addressed properly by Bungie ? Reading through these posts you can see most players are not happy , how long does the player base have to wait for fixes / improvements ? Please don’t say by end of January, but I’m guessing Bungie is already on holidays ,

                            • Not good enough.. take away the level wall and make the timers longer. The expectation you gave for this was i could jump in n gain loot to level up but its worse.. i have to play old stuff from the last 3 months to level up. What about us solos? This matchmade system for this activity is not working. Only fireteams can do anything. Yea yea its for the hardcore, what about us solo/casuals? Where is our content? Oh i guess we have to deal with old boring content from the last 3 month for the next 2-3weeks before we can even touch content we PAID for? I paid for this content so i expect to be able to play it.

                              • The lesson we all learned is simple: never again buy the annual pass, at least until reviews a few weeks after. The $5 I saved on the bundle is still a -$25 net loss. I wholeheartedly expect season of the drifter to be one new gambit change and one story quest. I'm not upset by it, I'm just saddened, because I love the lore. I want to be a Guardian. But... why? I don't feel compelled to participate any longer. I feel mislead, wronged. I just want to play :(

                                I had one round today where we got the boss and ran out of time with a random team. I also had a couple teams where we didn't get past the first wave. My issue with the whole thing is any activity that comes down to..."stand here only, use this weapon only, and this class only or you don't stand a chance" makes the game NOT FUN!!! Having no campaign or story missions is maybe OK IF...and only IF...the activities pick up right where they left off and THEN progress up to max level. I am 100% sure Bungie has data on how many people were at 600 and how many were below when Armory dropped. There is a HIGH chance that the majority were not at 600 yet. First forge should have started at 600, then 610, and boss at 620. Next forge start at 610, then 620, and boss at 630. And so on. It seems the content will be rolled out in waves so each wave should be progress to the final wave and max level. The only reason we got such a fast response this time is because several of the streamers were not happy with the set up. What a surprise the changes were made so fast we got whiplash. Now the real question is...will they remember this when the next non-DLC drops?

                                • It would be really helpful if I didn't get 4 grenade launchers and 3 Mark's for my powerful gear. I may have actually been able to participate in the forge.
