They told you that it wasn't going to be a DLC. You didn't listen.
You are unhappy because you failed to adjust your expectations to what it was that Bungie clearly said they intended to make. Not because Bungie somehow failed to deliver on what they promised.
Your unhappiness is your fault.
If I invite you to my house for a steak dinner, and I prepare steak....I'm not responsible for the fact that you wanted fish. Especially when I told you that steak was on the menu.

Am I paying for several of your steak dinners in advance with only one brief bulletin email you sent to a large group barely a week in advance detailing what steak we’d have but not the quality. Seems misleading eh?

Quality / size and breadth of content in BA section of the annual pass was noted and highlighted by the roadmap and vidocs. They said it was different, specifically to grant more end game opportunities, and bundled with a power bump that would scale the end game. If you didnt see it that's your burden. The analogy is invalid at that point.

It’s a very valid point. What was loosely outlined isn’t acceptable. For anyone. Just sets a precedent to keep getting bent over even moreso than we have in the past. This is literally the first time I’ve ever told people I play with to not buy an expansion. I can’t in good conscience recommend it and the vast majority of the community aren’t happy. That’s not some weird coincidence.

Seriously though if you do think that, you're allowed to. But I would recommend practicing better purchasing practices then. If you think that the messaging for something is too 'loose' or vague, then dont buy it and wait for reviews. Personally I got what I was expecting and am so far satisfied with it though.

Clap Clap Clap fanboy. Whatever they want to classify this, "expansion", in terms of content there should have been an actual mission, strike, or something we can grind that's new on release. Their just prolonging the agony of defeat with the is BS. Grab a new player base with the build up and then restrict them right out of the gate???? Poor poor business move. Bungie will destroy themselves as new titles take their mistakes and learn. Unlike Bungie continues to do.
