Would it have been better if black armory had 5 shitty story missions that you didn't like and never played again, some expensive cutscenes(that's where the money goes) had a new strike, a patrol zone that you only go to once every 4-5 weeks for the Flashpoint, and only the horde mode (it probably wouldn't have a raid), and cost you $20?
Not trying to be a shill fanboy apologist, just asking a realistic question

New patrol zone, adventures, 5x the amount of weapons and armour, raid and horde mode is what I expect at mininium as you pointed out they saved lots on not providing a cinematic story so they had more staff to be working on more content! (Bungie even said something similar during thier forsaken live stream when talking about the annual pass!) But what we got was the smallest update we have ever gotten!!

Quick question Do you just want thing's to do? Or should those things be meaningful? Reason I ask is patrol zones (if they're present) and campaigns in these smaller $20 expansions usually aren't that good

It's a game nothing is meaningful... I personally don't enjoy horde modes... I like patrol zine, adventures raid and collecting lots of loot.. in their stream they made a point of saying cinematic story mission cost money and time to make by not doing this they could offer more actual content in each Dlc and expand on what we have but this dlc fulls very far from that....

A new patrol zone to farm with some new loot would have worked for me. At least it would have made the grind more interesting and less stale.

Raid has no appeal for me. None. Didn’t say I would sacrifice anything, but I would take a new patrol zone and new loot with the Black Armory...even at twice the price of the current Black Armory.

I think that puts you in the minority of players. Raids are generally one of destiny's biggest selling points

Yes. It would've had been better. Because what we have now, is [b]nothing.[/b] Even if you manage to grind up to 650 in a few weeks, what is there? A forge. 3 waves. Great. "But the content is coming in the next few weeks!" Yep....more forges. Aaaand that's it. The loot is extremely lackluster and is gated off by the first forge not even being accessible to the majority of players. So yes. It would've had been better.

How would it have been better? In a standard $20 dlc, in the same time frame you'd only be playing the forge and old content, and you wouldn't have a raid, and you would've spent more money I don't see how that's a better scenario

Are you mentally challenged? Right now, we have NOTHING. After you've pointlessly grinded up to 650 you will have NOTHING. Except for the 3 forges which other games execute better and give out for free. With a standard DLC, we would at least have a campaign and a raised soft cap to keep us up to date with the new end-game activities (BTW, since they are adding ENDGAME content, there is absolutely no reason to raise the power level, which was already endgame, which people have grinded to 600, for this exact reason, to get ready for the next expansions) I don't care about the raid. Like 80% of the playerbase. If you ask something, and don't accept anything as an answer, then suffer in silence.

You're right I the 60 minute campaign would keep me busy and totally be worth the extra $10 Ask how many people would trade the osiris campaign for a raid

Reading 101. Also, a lot. Raiding isn't as much of a big thing as you make it out to be. I'm sure at least 80% of the players don't even touch the raids, including me.
