Ikelos Shotgun Nerfed
As the title says in [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47462]Sandbox 2.1.0[/url] the DPS King Ikelos Shotgun has been nerfed.
I’m actually not sure how I feel about this I know the PVE community is pissed but I partially understand why due to well no other weapon being needed against anything. Think about it. Bosses in any activity became child’s play and that perk is so powerful there was no “buffing everything else to give it competition”.
I’m not sure. Logic and reason dictates I understand and realize it’s not a bad choice, while emotion dictates I turn into a child with a tantrum.
Again [b]No One[/b] used anything other than Ikelos for DPS on major bosses it too variety away.

1 ReplyEdited by W33DEDPLAGUE: 11/27/2018 5:34:41 PMGood, I'm tired of having to use the same thing everywhere, I like to have weapon diversity in my load out personally...on the bright side, there is a kinetic shotty coming with trench barrel so think about equipping both at the same time......and they are making rampage and dragonfly into mods...a trench barrel shotty with rampage probably makes up for the difference lol

Although I hate nerfs, a nerf like this is nice. It allows the weapon to still remain useful, but no longer out DPS heavy weapons. I am sure skilled users will continue to make great use of the perk.

2 RepliesI don’t mind the change, and I don’t think it’s going to change much. We won’t be having the weapon in our energy slot permanently, and we won’t really have the expectation that every special weapon has to kill morgeth in 12 seconds.

11 RepliesI understand it because even right now, it's breaking Gambit when paired with Synthocepts and a Well of Radiance. Personally, I love it. In every occasion of me playing, no longer will my friends go "are you running Ikelos? No? WHY NOT?!"

Feels bad:( lmao I have it but never use it, but that one time I used it it felt real nice. I mean ig no more raid speed runs? Cuz seeing sweatcicle(I think that’s how you spell it) and other doots doing speed runs they used ikealos sg so idk what they’re gonna do.

But they added a kinetic trench barrel shotgun. And you can add boss spec to it. That will WAY out dps IKELOS even after the nerf.

1 ReplyI thought they already nerfed by ensuring every yellow bar has a ground pound that sends you flying. Their "creative" minds could not come up with a similar but weaker perk for other shotguns to get as random rolls? Really quite pathetic Bungie's lack of talent leads them to nerfing us in PVE. God forbid we actually feel powerful. But everything has to be a damage sponge or it isn't fun.

People only used ikelps once they ran out of heavy. Now we use kinetic weapons or throw grass at it. Realisticly they jyst made the ikelps more annoying to use nothing else can compare in the energy slot that ismt exotic. And thats the real reason the ikelos is loved and people like me are unhappy with the change. No other legendary does anything to bosses. Anyine getting dredgen or rivensbane post ikelos nerf should get gold writing to acknowledge the significant disadvantage they have to grind through now.
