Star Wars in Destiny
In the heroic story mission Road Rage after killing the 3 hydras you hear ghost ask Asher if these are the right vex which includes the lines “you know, as in are these the robots your looking for” assuming ghost is trying to avoid any copyright lawsuits from Lucas film one can only imagine he knows this from either watching Star Wars, or indeed that Jedi’s are alive in the destiny universe somewhere and Ben kenobi had an encounter with a ghost before

I played first time today.My thoughts about destiniy 2. 1-Guns 3 difrent type and dont like it.Why 3 difrent type?Why we need it? Its simple but why lol?I thing its bad idea.Its must be like this 1-melee 2-pistols 3-machine guns 4-heavy guns 5-snipers. We dont have good sniper maps until now.I mean its pve game mostly and maps to small for sniping. 2-Hero powers specialy supers.You calling this supers?I see only some skils whic is useless.Seriusly who wana use staff ?I prefer guns.Evade abilitys bad.Useless.Dont you played overwatch or see before?You can see super powers there.Here I rely dont like it.Maybe I am wrong but after playing long time overwatch every other shoter feels bad for me.No strategy,no skill,no good clases. 3-Story its like good but its short and not suprising.Why you made this game online?ı mean its like just normal ofline shooter with good grafics. 4-I dont tryed pvp yet but I dont wana try too.I thing pvp in this game very bad idea.Skills clases dont feel good.I prefer pvp in overtwatch. 5-Game menu bad very very bad.Do you thing its good for this kind of game? 6-I wil continue play.Well if it i not free I never play or pay.Its not good game.

1 ReplyIt’s just the programmers squeezing in some Star Wars homages. If you like that, next time your playing the Inverted Spire strike: After about 2/3rds into the strike there is a large mining pit where you run away from rotating drilling arms, there are two Star Wars themed homages. The first is a large Vex half frozen in a wall ( or possibly just a statue of a Vex half-submerged in a wall just like Han Solo in the frozen Carbonite, before you jump down and see the boss for the first time. Then at the final boss fight , the platform or island you fight on is oddly shaped like the top view of the Millennium Falcon.

There’s other places in the story that give you that Star Wars feel of the Hero’s Journey, inspired by Joseph Campbell’s a Hero of a Thousand Faces, where the hero has to make a choice to be Selfless (light side) and or Selfish (dark side). This happened after Cayde-6 died. Where Ikora wanted to send ALL of the Guardians to seek vengeance for Cayde’s death, Zhavala wanted the guardians to stay and protect the Traveler. Both ideas are fundamentally wrong. So how do we still find justice for Cayde? Well, this is where your character speaks for the first time and is literally like the balance/will of or in the Force, and says he’ll step up. I have this feeling that your character was going to bring Uldran in for justice and Petra Venj (aka Peter Vengeance lol, hell she’s the Queen’s Wrath) killed Uldran for the murder of Cayde-6. Your character is the hero no one is looking for but what the galaxy needs.

5 RepliesSomewhere in a galaxy far, far away... from The Traveler, there are ppl of the light welding lightsabers. What if the Traveler is a force-user that put all it’s midi-cholorians into Ghost Shells? And we’re basically lightside users, using the Force. I mean if Destiny is our future and Star Wars is a galaxy far, far away... it stands to reason that the Traveler is a lightside sentient being, or the Will of the Force.
