Our Game Security Team issues an escalating series of enforcement actions twenty four hours per day, and we also issue some enforcement actions in big waves. We don't announce our enforcement actions because it gives cheaters information on how our detection works.
Since November 1st, we’ve issued enforcement actions to 1,120 players for violating our terms of service, including cheat programs, network manipulation, and DDoS. Our Game Security Team is always updating our monitoring tools to detect ever-changing attacks, and a human verifies every punishment before it is issued.
As always, if you believe to have encountered someone cheating, please use this contact form to report suspects accordingly.

no numbers would have been just as specific

Glad we finally got a straight answer with numbers. Now I understand your reasons for not releasing full reports I think you guys should find a way to make full reports that don't give away your methods while giving names. I think while you're at it you guys really really need to see if you can legal action against the DDoSers as it is a crime in the US.

Bungie just keeps being obscure because they take little action and being TRANSPARENT would reveal that. So we get these poster board responses that, for whatever reason, appeases everyone for a few months. It’s cyclical. Same shit as before. Also, Bungie is not Epic. Epic takes substantial action, including suing a 14 year old. That makes a statement. I won’t believe this crap one bit until all sold runs quit being advertised in their own forums, Ebay sold runs disappear, and Bungie releases the names of those banned. What do you think the odds of that happening are?

its not really a straight answer, its just a number of who violated the terms of service, not how many bans were from cheaters

I ran into a guy couple weeks ago in the Crucible i think i recorded the match have to look though them but the guy cheating on the other team was popping supers one right after one ran out he had unlimited supers pretty much if i remember right it was a Titan doing the new missle thing. But after some research i found that you can jail break your PS4 dont know about the PC or xbox and some how jailbreaking it allows you to play previous versions and allows to change settings.

That's nice and welcomed however you are fixing the simptoms not the cause in most cases. The biggest issue is currently with ddos, I don't have access to your fancy telemetry tho I'm willing to bet on it. How about you find a way to mask player IP's in comp/ future trials? (Hint hint dedicated servers pls)

Haven’t ran into a single cheater since Forsaken launch. Thanks for dishing it out.

I have yet to run into a cheater in D2. I encountered one in D1 and no one believed me when I recounted my story 😂

Considering today is only Nov 9th, 1100+ bans in nine days? Seems like a lot. Indicates cheating is a real problem in this game.
-
There are more gamers cheating than that.
-
You're going to find attempts to cheat in any kind of online gaming experience. These numbers suggest that they take it quite seriously, and are fully committed to shutting that nonsense down.
-
Yeah, that’s why they are working on it... because people are cheating.

Look at rainbow 6. They banned thousands of accounts within hours
