But then the quest exotics go into the pool of drops. I got AoS and Chaperone in week 1. Since then I’ve got 3 more AoS and 4 Chaperone. That’s 7 exotic drops that should have been something else. The rolls are static on those so quest related exotics should never go into the pool of drops.
I actually have 8 new exotics but included in that are Lord of Wolves which basically came from a Spider bounty (then I got it another time) and Wish Ender which was from playing Shattered Throne (at least I haven’t got it again...yet).
I’ve had Queenbreaker 3 times. I got the cool new sword (that’s 6), the new warlock boots (that’s 7), the titan helmet (one eye something that’s 8).
I’ve got several Y1 exotics. I don’t remember how many but since you can pick them up from collections and infuse them any drop of those is wasted.
I don’t have an issue with the low drop rate for exotics. They come pretty regularly in my opinion. Where I have an issue is when they are the same thing again and again. There’s no reason why they can’t use a punch out system to govern what drops as exotics. They’ve already used that system in the past. By not using it here they are just showing that they think we should play Destiny like it’s a job if we want specific items.
