Salty over the cross platform/Character transfer Destiny DOESN'T HAVE....Sorry but I'm not about to lose years of game time because of "Sony exclusives". Its really disappointing because I think Destiny on PC would be so beautiful and play better. But You're losing another player, I"m not going to pay full price for a game and not have my old character and be able to play with all my friends and clan on console. See ya Destiny...see you when you ever decide to fix it.
(For those confused I just built a monster of a PC and ^ is a problem for me)
EDIT: Sorry for the confusion! I'm not on console anymore which is why I needed to transfer my stuff over to PC. If that wasn't obvious my apologies.

PS4 and Xbox yes but Absolutely not with PC because a lot of PC players become very toxic and would hate on console users. A prime example is Fleshcrunch who in a stream said console players are idiots for not using PC.
-
Xbox and playstation would be just fine. No way would I want to play with pc players.
-
Up to Sony. I mean look at the whole Fortnite and Elder Scrolls Legends fiasco.

Xbox and PlayStation should definitely be able to play together Maybe they could add in PC as an option, but I don’t think that’s a good idea PC usually tends to have more mature adults, and I do enjoy the Destiny PC community, I wouldn’t want that messed up by mixing in console players into the mix. (Not saying all console players are immature squeakers, but it definitely has more than PC does). Additionally there’s issues to consider such as controllers being way inferior to a gaming mouse and keyboard. PC gets much better frame rate. Console doesn’t have text chat. PC players are likely to have Ethernet and thus will be less likely to get disconnected. It could happen, but I don’t think it’s a good idea That being said you should be able to have cross-platform saves. It was ridiculous me that my D1 Warlock who I loved so much couldn’t come with me to PC.

I'd like xbox/ps cross over. So the so called best players on PS can get shit on by average players on xbox.. Bungie could then add a real ranking system in the game.. But by the time all this happens. Destiny will be dead again and only 60,000 players will be playing the game regularly again.

No. Xbox/PS4? Sure. PC? Nope. Not likely to happen, at least in multiplayer/crucible. You can't play with PC as a console player. You just can't. You can't fix the frame rate issue for console, you can't fix the AA issue against keyboard and mouse. PC players who play with controllers know this and it is common knowledge. Raiding? No way in hell it will work. PC players use chat for callouts and saving callouts, console players would all have to get keyboards to keep up with PC raid teams if they are willing to deal with you gimping their team with long load times in your menus. Again, not gonna happen, blame your underpowered consoles at release.

I guess my problem which sparked the terrible rant was me no longer able to play period. I considered paying full price for another copy on PC but like I said before... I don't want to lose everything I've worked on since day 1 of D1. Also I'm unable to play with my family and clan which sucks :( I just wish there was a way for me to play still while on PC minus the xbox app on win10. I've tried it and there's such a terrible lag.

Edited by kellygreen45: 10/24/2018 1:02:44 PMConsoles dont' need it. Though PC would probably benefit from it....and therefore so would Microsoft (indirectly). Which is why Sony has been fighting tooth-and-nail against it. Fact is, Bungie's hands are tied here. Sony---so far---only permits it with Fortnite. Plus Activision has negotiated these exclusivity deals with Sony...and Sony wants their money's worth (in extra console sales and player numbers) out the deals. Then there's the issue of mouse-and-keyboard and frame rate. Playing on PC would likely give PC players a huge advantage in The Crucible versus console players. Aiming precisely is easier with a mouse than a thumb-controlled joystick....and the higher frame rates allow for much higher server tick rates and in-game responsiveness.

I'd love cross-platform play in general, as it'd be great to actually play with a lot of my friends irl who own PS(I'm on Xbox). But I don't think there should be for PC and console in PvP. In PvE it'd probably be fine, though PC players might dread the terrible loading times consoles have to their own, as well as the lack of in-game text chat.

PVE yes, PVP no
-
PvE sure Unless Private matches... No PvP
-
I can understand NO to PVP but if there was an option to toggle it off and on would that be a better compromise?
-
-
PVE yes for all platforms. PVP no. Make PVP for Xbox and Playstation only.
-
I don't want to play with PC players. That would be horrible

Edited by megatron1984: 10/23/2018 11:17:59 AMK. An to answer your question. No I personally don't want to go up against someone using a PC while I am on console in pvp.
