It’s not about that, people have real bad RNG and waiting until the next DLC to then let those poor people with bad RNG have old exotics is silly. People like to compare it to D1, well in D1 Xur was useful out the hate for a long period of time so I don’t see why it should be different now. There’s people like me who haven’t had a exotic drop in over 2 weeks and some longer. That’s not a good thing at all. It’s a looter shooter and they even released a exotic trailer before Forsaken launched so where’s the exotics? Xur doesn’t need to come with a new piece for every class and a weapon but they should have been in the loot pool.

  • Bad rng? There is only rng, things either drop or they don’t. The more time in, the more chances you get. I’ve got over 60 days in this game so far, so I’ve put my time in. I’m still not anywhere near halfway on any of my toons wrt Forsaken Exotics Badge. I’ve turned in well over 15,000 gunsmith mats, and I still have roughly 8,000 more, and just normal old purple gunsmith guns. Yet a clanmate received two new exotics in a 24 hour period depositing roughly 250 mats each time. I’ve put more time in Forsaken today than he has combined since launch. lol. Rng is what it is. It’s real simple, and it’s a philosophical debate to be answered by Bungie. Should Bungie return to the exotics rain from the sky, to placate the “I gots bad rng” crowd or the “I paid for it, so let me play with it right now” crowd or should they keep exotics as exactly that, an exotic, something very rare, very very rare. My hope is Bungie keeps exotics very, very rare. Or, we’ll be back at year 1 of D2 almost overnight. Everybody has everything immediately.

  • Sorry, didn't read everything you said but, when you said there is only RNG? I disagree. There is also knowing this company can and has throttled things in this game and who really knows how there RNG system is actually set up?

  • The same drop rate algorithms are used for both you and I, and everyone else in this game. There is nothing so special about me that Bungie would create an algorithm exclusively for little old Springer. Do I think rng is weighted? Probably. Does it evaluate what we need or what our current inventory is? More than likely. The number of questions I could ask are legion. But, ultimately, the Exact Same set of rng rules apply to you, as well as me.

Bungie have scammed us before remember and were caught out several times so don't act like they are all above board n shit cos they aren't, wouldn't surprise me one bit if it came out that they used dodgy tactics yet again, they already have our money at this point and there's always new suckers to con into this game based on the beautifully crafted Design of the Destiny Universe and the adverts they put out, etc

  • It’s my belief that Bungie has addressed a lot of the complaints from a year ago. But, it is entirely plausible that D3 will be broken like D2 was. And the community complaints would be a reason why. But, at this moment in time, I’m VERY much enjoying the game. Bungie is a corporation, a software developer, they sell a product whose success or failure is built around the metrics of how many ppl play the game daily equally as much as how many discs are sold. They’ll make smart choices, they’ll make horrible ones. It has happened like this and it will continue to happen like this bc it is run by fallible humans, no different from you and I. There are no tinfoil hat conspiracies here. It’s simple, uncomplicated; Bungie is trying to sell a product and keep population numbers above a certain threshold that I’m unaware of. All their actions are reflective of this.
