Destiny 2 Needs A Transmog System

And to be perfectly clear, that means a system where you could, through some sort of vendor or inventory process, make one piece of armor look like another one, while maintaining its stats. Forsaken has a bit of a problem with the depth of the loot pool. Edge Transit memes aside, there’s only about four armor sets that drop from Legendary Bounty/Powerfuk Reward engrams. Most of it looks, for the most part, fine. But the fact that every gear set from Y1 is functionally useless, on top of the dramatically increased cost of infusions, means that there’s a serious lack of variety in what gear players will be wearing. A system where I can make the new (really horrid-looking) Iron Banner cloak look like the immaculate Y1 IB cloak would be pretty tight. Caveat, it would probably only work on blue and purple gear, since being able to see an Exotic armor piece on an enemy might be a decisive gameplay mechanic. I’d really just like some confirmation that not everything we did in Y1 was completely pointless. And since I can hear it being typed now, no. Just because it was that way in D1 means that it has to be that way now. Plenty of better, longer lasting MMOs have this system and it works phenomenally.
