what the actual -blam!- is this matchmaking system, how is anyone expected to enjoy comp if they are put in a game by themselves against a 4 stack all with lunas howl! i shouldnt even see that cancer gun at my rank....comp is -blam!-ed
-
It's shoddy matchmaking certainly, but also numbers of concurrent players in competitive are abysmal (rightly so). https://warmind.io/activity gives a rough idea of how low player engagement is. (Of course this actual data does not chime with the 'PvP keeps Destiny alive brigade' that has been mistakenly spouting that for 4 years +...another topic though). Just quit games like that, take the hit, but in so doing you also send Bungle a message. Block them too if you feel that strongly about it.

Isn’t that the reason you are playing comp

Bungie should implement some kind of system where if you've already obtained the Lunas Howl then you can still play quickplay or comp but with players that have already obtained it and that would leave players that have not obtained it a much better and enjoyable chance at achieving their goal. But, this would be in a perfect gaming world...

While I have been in your shoes I would like to ask the question.... Why are you in comp playlist trying to get Luna’s if you call your opponents “toxic monkeys”. Now if toxic monkey is positive and you are striving to become a toxic monkey then I will understand. But if you are upset that people are wielding a weapon you wish to obtain then I am confused.

Anthem will not have pvp.
-
Honestly, if not skill-based then crucible matchmaking should at least be gear based. It makes no sense to allow people using only greens and blues face off against murder machines like Luna.

Edited by Alkanphell: 10/21/2018 4:05:29 PMI mean, not sure exactly what you're expecting. You're in a mode which stresses team work and communication, which your opposition is doing well, and you're just rolling in solo expecting to clean up? That's not how it works man. Not even in a d1ck headed way. Just, if you want to play trials and competitive, you need a team. I guess you don't NEED a team, but 9/10 you'll experience exactly what you're experiencing. Just hit up quickplay for solo queue. If you're grinding howl, hit the forums and find a group to stick with and learn to play the mode the way it's intended. Your stubbornness isn't going to stop the rest of the players from playing it correctly.

From what I understand - Skill based match making is still turned off.
-
Toxic monkeys haha. You sir are the monkey solo comp expecting to get luna's howl, get farmed. Posts like these make me laugh. Get farmed keep getting farmed farmed farmed.
-
We matched a team with about 800 glory. This was when our team had 5k. It really isn't good matchmaking.
-
Were you on a team with high glory people? Your glory is averaged against your teammates in MM.
-
It's the overwatch problem minus placement matches. Either match different ranks together thusly giving people the ability to climb all the way up the ranks, or only match people of similar rank. Problem with option 2 is you'll never be able to climb the ranks higher than your skill allows. This is a good thing in a lot of people eyes as well as mine. Bungie though always looks at things from a casual perspective. They are simply not gonna tell people with a skill cap of let's say 1000 glory that they can never get lunch howl. They're too casual friendly. So, their solution is to allow people at 1800 glory to potentially match up against people at 500 so they climb. Their solution to the 500 player is to give them free glory every week for playing 3 matches. And so you are stuck with a "casual shooter" that will never be truly competitive.

Toxic monkeys haha

You're stupid and the cancer, comp is a team mode what part of the do you not understand
-
Look, you entered a competitive, team based activity... WITHOUT a team. Stop crying and put a team together, scrubby.
-
Toxic monkeys, 🤣🤣🤣

Its because the player population on PC is too small. I regularly match against my own friends just randomly.
