Masterwork Cores and Transmutation?

I would just like to say that i have always been a supporter of the Destiny games, even when pre-forsaken D2 was being heavily criticized i just read the comments and enjoyed the game anyway.I have played since the very beginning but i am not hardcore, i have a job, a baby and a house that needs maintenance (adult things). Now i hardly play because of the masterwork core issue. PROBLEM: I have done my weeklys for powerful gear without fail since vanilla, but now... I just can be bothered because the masterwork cores are so hard to come by. I know you can buy them from Spider but the cost is high after a few, also you need to grind like crazy to get shards to buy them. I have gear at 550+ but i cant get my equipped gear past 530 because of no cores. Then i do core just to have better gear drop a minute later! POTENTIAL SOLUTION : Transmutation! I have said this since D1 vanilla. What is the point of creating all the 3d models for gear like blue, green, rarely used purples?!!! Let people move the look and/or stats to another item. This solves 2 problems, 1) i can use my unwanted high level gear with stats i want. 2) you get to customize your guardians look! Almost everyone looks identical because there is only like 2 sets of god tiered items for each class. What is the point of customization or even modelling other gear when there is no way in hell that anyone would roll with green/blue/or crap purples? Its a wasted resource. I know there would need to be resources to transmute but it would introduce a new level of customization so everyone isnt identical. I know a patch is coming out on Oct 30 to help with the masterwork cores but i hope it reduces the grind for people who are committed to the game but have a life as well. If it fixes it, great! But my Transmutation request still stands. Why not use all the models that the game has to offer? Who doesnt want to roll with green (or even white) gear with insane stats to fool opponents in crucible, its fun. In MMORPGS i loved running around with villager clothes (or underwear) that had god tier stats from transmutation. Just my opinion to help improve the game. Good job on Forsaken other than the masterwork core part though. Two thumbs up from me. Thanks D2 community!
