I feel like limiting Warlocks to one path that has Icarus Dash is kinda just eh. Well of Radiance should have the "Hold O or B to immediately drop down and heal" and the other to Dawnblade subclasses should have Icarus Dash built in to the super themselves (not a separate perk, kinda like Dodge for Hunters)
Also reduce the Icarus Dash from 8 seconds to 6 seconds.
1. This would probably (hopefully) reduce the amount of Warlocks using Nova Warp
2. Fits well with the specific subclasses (Well of Radiance is focused on healing, it should have the healing "drop-down" buff)

Icarus dash for titan
-
Err. No It's based in the air and therefore only works with attunement of the sky. Doesn't make sense for grace or flame. Neither benefit from being airborne
-
I brought this up a while ago, wings of sacred Dawn should offer floating and dash to all classes.
-
If you want nova warp to be used less then bungie needs to actually buff the other subclasses the warlocks have. Stormcaller is tickle damage in crucible and gets wrecked by any super in the game unlike nova warp that actually shuts down supers. Nova warp gives health on kills making the other subclasses garbage since you will always die without health and low resilience. Nova warp grenades are amazing at countering shoulder charge, no other warlock grenade has the ability to fight back a shoulder charge. Blink is incredibly useful in pvp, why use stormcaller or dawnblade when the jump makes you a slow easy to hit target in the air? Unless other classes get blink Ill stick to my voidwalker, mobility in destiny is the most important thing to have

Edited by ClovenTrack620: 10/17/2018 12:17:40 AMall Titans got 1Hk shoulder charge, screw all Solar Warlocks, give Iccarus Dash to all Warlocks😈
-
Edited by SnakePayne86: 10/16/2018 1:06:04 PMThe problem is Phoenix dive is too vertical. If you could dive down at different angles, it would be fun and we wouldn’t need an evade. I’m 560 and I don’t even have nova warp unlocked. Been using chaos reach in pve.
-
Agreed. Great post. Always wishing I could dash mid jump or dive when running well in PVP. Also WoR in PVP kind of sucks unless you slay hard early game and are the first to get your super in the game. Otherwise your just a sitting target for a blade barrage.
-
I personally think that all warlock subclasses should have those two abilities. But it should be dependent on what rift you have equipped. Healing rift - Phoenix Dive Enpowering rift - Icarus Dash
-
Meh. Just give us radiance back for the bottom tree. I think all classes and subclasses should have 3 variants that change the super.
-
No leave it for the top dawnblade tree, you cant compare it to the hunters dodge because thats their class ability
-
Better yet buff top tree. For some reason bingo decided to make it almost impossible to land shots while in the air(in-air accuracy)
-
Edited by Tk: 10/16/2018 2:15:18 PMEither make icarus dash into two dashes until theres a 6 sec cooldown or make it one dash every 2-3 seconds. Also buff transversive steps to improve the warlock glide. Top tree dawnblade is probably the least used in the game. Edit: or buff wings of sacred dawn to give a second dash, lower cooldown and also buff the stay in the air ability.
-
Or just make it so there’s no cool down on blink.
-
Your lucky you even have it. You stole it from us titans from d1 😤
-
No. Nova warp should just be nerfed D
-
We should be able to mix and match throughout all 3 subclasses selecting 4 of the 12 options.
-
Uh sure, only if hunters can get the ability to strafe wall jump as a base character trait.
-
That would be nifty.
-
Solar Hunters have a throwable melee in each sub-tree. Each Titan elemental subclass has access to a sprinting charged melee heavy attack. Void Warlock has a grenade-charge augment ability (Hunger, Over-charged, Mini-Warp). Topic post seems pretty reasonable and in-line with previous designs.
-
Hold the divine protection while gliding. Unrelated, but fun.
-
Bring back subclass perk selections!
-
I agree hunters can dodge or roll on any class, why can't warlock use their dash. The one subclass that has the dash has a horrible subclass tree that i will never use.
-
Nova Warp’s good but not great. Chaos Reach is better for Damage, has a better melee, and some of the best grenades in the game. Nova Warp’s pretty good in PvP, but I just don’t see how it’s super powerful. All the new Warlock subclasses are good, most of the old ones are solid. Bottom tree Dawnbreaker, Upper Tree Stormcaller, and Chaos Voidwalker could use a little love, but they all have their place. Nova Warp’s just the best all-around subclass. Not to mention that it’s not very good against anything bigger than a Gambit primeval.

Cough* Bungie can make this an exotic *Cough

Yes please, this type of game play after using it makes me want to play top tree Dawnblade all the time. Icarus dash and shooting from the sky are an absolute winner for me. Bottom tree dawn blade is a joke. Bottom tree Dawn Blade sucks and here is why. Phoenix dive is a waste of time especially when this tree is not the one that lets you shoot while in the air gliding. The animation is so slow and I NEVER see it being used. The melee is a joke compared to the top tree that damages, burns and buffs. The only good thing about this whole tree is kills extending your super and to be honest they should have just made an exotic for this by now because I would definitely use it with the top tree.
