You're obviously very young. Once you get more years under your belt I hope you see how "toughening up" is just another illusion of control. Your fortress walls will break one day and you will need love and compassion to heal.

[i] obviously[/i] Again that's a choice, as is your own interpretation. I offer you a new perspective on a take on life and instead of giving the notion any thought you affirm it cannot be done. And how long before the pity pool dries up? Ever notice how depression seems to be an ongoing thing? Yet we approach it the same exact way? Sympathy and pity until the sads go away. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again expecting a different result. When I have an inmate in my Sally port or in a cell and he's freaking out, mad or depressed whatever. Talk to him. Don't pity them or start yelling cause you just adding emotion to emotion. And emotions are volatile. Ultimately YOU take responsibility for your life. No one else will do it for you. That includes the ups and downs. Own your life, it doesn't own you Or keep doing whatever it is you cats do sitting around feeling sorry for eachother.
