Depression and anxiety are not something you can get over like that. I used to think with enough will power and strength you can overcome even depression. I was very wrong when I got a mental illness and it took several people to even tell me it was there. It's not something you can do alone. Support is key and frankly if you are unwilling to support people through things like this you are the one who is lost and the world will probably function a lot better without your negative and poisonous point of view. Just know if it hits you or a friend how will you confront it. Will you tell your friend to suck it up and the world will move on without them when they have a knife to their wrists? If you do...I really pity you.
