I’m an army veteran and almost committed suicide. Ive been checked in the hospital because of it. From battle to battle you are out of line. If someone is asking for help it’s your job not only as a soldier but as a human being to comfort that person.

Oh god you said from battle to battle. If you really understand war you should know after surviving what is literally hell. That killing yourself is literally the most idiotic thing any person can do.
-
And being empathetic to someone reaching out is the most idiotic thing a person can do. If you show no remorse, that adds fuel to a person ready to off themselves. Just because one person is hurt doesn’t mean no one else is hurt.

You don’t think I’ve considered it before? I’ll always help someone in need, but I don’t want to be near anyone when they do or attempt the deed. Because I’ll be cussing them out while calling 911, and I highly doubt anyone wants that as a last memory, I sure as hell don’t. I understand why everyone’s up in arms... I don’t care, it’s my opinion, and I’m not planning on changing it. If you feel like this has anything to do with my character, then believe in what you want. We have opposing view points on a subject and that’s okay. Also, thank you for your service.

I understand what the service does to you but to dismiss byf and his depression is not right at all.
-
Agreed because we all human. We should Want to see the next person succeed
-
I never wished failure on someone so I’m not entirely sure how this fits into the conversation.

Do people think that depression is easy? Because it's not. Depression isn't some light issue. The tiniest bit of support can do wonders for someone with depression. Try that instead of telling people to "off themselves" or whatever.
