Sure, you had “depression”. Totally. Was it self diagnosed because you didn’t get an A on your test? Or was it actual crushing depression that made your entire life a living hell?
Don’t pretend to have a disease just because you think it’s cool. You have no idea how people live with it.

Total hypocrite....

No a very close friend and family member died from cancer. Here you are telling me to not say mean things about people with depression but yet all you're doing is trivializing my depression by making fun of it because I was a young teen back when I had it. Grow up.

HAHAHHA These are the best comments, You get moody at him for shutting someone down about not really having depression, then when he tells you he’s been through depression you shut him down. Y’all are great 😂

I know it’s amazing to see that play out lol .

Im not really shutting anybody down... Im just saying the things he's getting upset about seem rather small to me.

Yes, because an edgy 12 year old will always claim to have depression because it’s the “cool” thing. Every single person I know that has struggled with depression can rarely even get out of bed on most days. Saying that they shouldn’t get bothered by “something small” is such an ignorant statement and is a very clear sign that this lying idiot has never dealt with depression. You don’t “get over it”, you don’t “stop”, you just wait it out. People like you and him who claim depression because you had a bad day at school are the same people who undercut the real weight of mental illness.

I'll just continue to live my life. I dont need approval from some whiny entitled millennial about whether I had "true" depression or not. Get a life.

Edited by fish: 10/12/2018 11:55:19 PMWhat’s the difference between, “waiting it out” and “getting over it”. If his family member dying sent him into a spiral of depression that he eventually got out of, who are you to say he was just an edgy teenager?
