Does anybody think that my ideas for quitting are good?

    I don't see why everyone thinks making it impossible to quit and a solo queue is the answer. (Which isn't going to happen.) Not even commenting on the question I asked which is whether or not they think my ideas are good. Give a strict penalty for the the first person who decides to quit. So as to make everyone on the team think really hard about whether or not it's worth quitting. If some goofball decides to take the penalty and leave... Making one team out numbered... Then the penalty should then be turned off for the rest of the team so they can leave the bad spot the goofball left them in. Also if matchmaking fails... And makes a game that's 3 vs 4 or 2 vs 4. Then the team that is out numbered should be allowed to go to orbit without a penalty because clearly it is an unfair situation right from the start. Just my ideas on this.

  • Solo queue would fix a lot. As for leaving, Bungie should make it as close to possible to leave a match.

  • In normal 4 vs 4 situations. Just penalize the first player who leaves his team stranded. Not the guys that are stuck in that bad situation. And don't penalize players if matchmaking fails to put a 4 vs 4 lobby together. 3 vs 4... Yeah... Why even try? Anyone in their right mind would agree this situation is unfair and a penalty for these players that want to get out of a bad situation is uncalled for.

  • I just think Bungie should disable the ability to leave a match that is live . Outside of shutting off your console or killing the application...just make it so you cannot leave/log off. And add solo queues!

  • I know. Every solo player wants solo queues. I thought about it and it would be fairly handy for us solo players. But they are never going to give us that. It would split up the player base and sometimes make matchmaking difficult. Also the no quitting thing isn't going to stop people from quitting. They WILL shut off their game or even their console if they get frustrated enough. And being forced to do something like that to get out of a match they don't want to play anymore MIGHT make a player quit for good. And Bungie doesn't want that to happen again with their player base. They had lost enough players already from before Forsaken and they only started getting a bunch of players back. Sooooo... I don't see that happening either.

  • Fair points, all. It just sucks that it's broken and they can't seem to find a middle ground to fix it. People cherry picking matches and leaving when they see a full fireteam. Or realize they are gonna lose. Personally I stay no matter what. I only have like a 1.8 average kda so I'm no pvp god. But I'll give them a fight at least. I may go down but I'm dragging someone with me!

  • I try to stay no matter what myself. Even if someone else leaves I try to keep on fighting. Only if we are outnumbered and getting slaughtered do I consider going to orbit. And normally not until AFTER it drops to 2 vs 4. lol

  • They should call the game and mercy rule if people leave. Isn't that what the mercy rule is for? But I haven't seen a mercy rule since before forsaken I guess they took it out for certain modes. Idk if it even exists in comp. It seems like it should.

  • Yeah that sounds like an okay idea too me. And I don't know if the mercy rule even can activate in competitive. I know it still does sometimes in quickplay though.
