"Way of the Current" is basically useless and a waste of potential

Except for some situations in PvP (which are basically "I activate my Super, I go around deflecting projectiles and MAYBE another Super if someone is so stupid to throw it against me while I'm turning my stick), this Path is basically useless and a sad waste of potential. In PvE is useless when you have other Subclasses that do the job much better, faster and granting more benefits for you and your teammates. Hell, the good old Way of the Warrior of the same Subclass in much better both for DPS and in general thanks a greater sinergy between its Perks which grant an infinite melee/dodge combo with health regen, more damage and increased reach for the melee. Plus, you have a Perk that increase the damage of your Super. Lightning Weave and Ebb and Flow of the Way of the Current have no sinergy at all and are useless both in PvP and in PvE. For reasons that we still don't know, both Titans and Warlocks have a one-hit-kill Skill in PvP while Tempest Strike is not. Bungie, please, explain. In PvE it is cool, but that's it, just something cool with no real particular effects. I still don't understand what's the real purpose of this new Path for the Arcstrider when both in PvE and PvP you have better choices. My concern is that Bungie is going to ignore this problem and leave it in this state forever just pretending that everything with it is fine, as we know Bungie is used to do.

  • I’m totally with you on all these comments. Hunters really got shafted this time. Blade barrage is good, but the new Nighstalker and Arcstrider really lacks the punch all the other classes have. Example: Voidwalker gets a one hit kill grenade, insane melee, and extremely powerful super. Titan gets the best exotics in Forsaken. Wtf did hunters get? Maybe it’s Bungie’s way of saying sorry for making hunters so dominant in year 1. FYI I’m not a hunter main. I’m just a content creator who plays everything and this is what I noticed.

    • It should allow you to perform a wider variety of combos during the super. And you should be able to do the slide melee during your super.

    • It's cool and gets an A+ for flair, but a C at best for execution and viability. The points are melee to increase reload speed? Really? And Ebb and Flow. This ability sounds good, but doesn't perform well. It needs a different trigger or set of triggers. It might be ok for an in-your- face kinda player, but still doesn't do as well as it could. Strong abilities, but clunky and disjointed.

      • The melee for this subclass is so inconsistent. I can run, slide, melee and my character melees. Do it at the exact same speed I did it last time, character decides to punch instead of doing the uppercut. And not to mention the shockwave just goes to the left for no reason half of the time. And is there any reason to reflecting the projectiles? I figured it would be somewhat good with x3 damage buff afterwards, but then I realized it lasts for like 2 seconds. Sweet! I can get one swing off at x3 damage. That’s if I’m close enough, which I’m most likely not, since if I were, I would not be reflecting and instead just hitting them. The melee hit outlaw is cool though.

      • You're using the Subclass all wrong. If you immediately activate your super and start blocking your enemy won't shoot you, let them start shooting then start blocking. The subclass has great synergy... The best exotic for this Subclass is Frosties hands down. It decreases your grenade, melee, and dodge cool down when sprinting while increasing sprint speed. Pair this with Gamblers dodge to get your Staff Strike back when dodging near an enemy. The best perks to use with this subclass: -Grenade: Arcbolt -Jump: Personal Preference -Dodge: Gamblers Dodge -Exotic Armor: Frosties -Weapons: Personal Preference (Though I suggest pairing a Slug/Precision Shotgun, body shot an enemy while sliding then activate Staff Strike)

        • Well personally I didn't know it could deflect other supers untill just now. I guess I have to agree it seems pretty trash at least when compared to the new sentinel one. With the exotic gauntlets for it this titan I was playing aginsted got his super over 10 times in a match, hell 3 times in a round.

        • The only real issue with the class is the lack of self synergy. Ebb and Flow trying to hold the class together with string and chewing gum just doesn't cut it.

          • I think it's a good class. Has the best huntet melee in PvE for ad clear. Whirlwind gaurd is good in PvP and gives you more options in engaging the enemy. The reload increase is amazing. The other perk could use some love. But I feel like people over look this subclass.

          • all hunter supers are situational it takes abit of skill to do well as a hunter... just use your super less then you wont waste it all the time.

              • Imo tempest Strike should be a one-hit-kill and also imo the super feel like it doesn't last as long as the other subclass nodes.
