I recently wanted to get back into playing destiny 1 but I owned the disk copy and my disk drive is broken. I downloaded it from my library anyway as it was there but it is saying I am in trial mode despite having all of the DLCs and being able to use them (do raids, access the planets etc). Is there a fix for this as when I go on the PS store it wont let me buy the digital game and I would like to play it again asap

I bought a hard copy of D1 from CEX and installed the game. I used the exact same Microsoft account that I had when I first got Destiny aswell as the DLC’s. The game took forever to install but when it finally did. I could only play the on the Trial/Demo, even though I literally bought a disc of the full game…………. -So what the …… is going on?! Why can’t I play Destiny even though I bought a physical disc of the full game?!

At this point, you have two options, as mentioned by GreatCyberboy). Fix your console so you can use your disk again, or purchase Destiny - The Taken King - Legendary Edition from the console store. Purchasing from the console store is the only option you have for gaining the base game digitally. The base game would have cost the same amount as what you're going to pay for the bundle purchase, so the base game was removed from the store all on its own, since it's now included in the bundle.

Sorry but Trial version means you do not have the licence to play the game. As you had the disc version that licence would be on the disc. You have two options: 1. repair the disc drive so you can use discs again. 2. As D1 is no longer available as a stand alone you will need to buy the digital version of D1 and all the dlc again.
