The title says it all. Clans are nice, and it's nice to have an ingame clan chat finally. But if your clan is like mine, it's not active 24/7 and there's lots of people from different timezones, so we have very inconsistent activity. Clan alliances would make things much easier on in-game community management. Sure, Discord exists, but wouldn't it be nice to not have to take a gamble on whether your clan is active to do the daily/weekly clan missions together? That would be possible if multiple clans could join up together to form an alliance of like a maximum of like 500 people from different clans that all can communicate with each other through one unified chat. That would go a long way in strengthening community bonds as well, which has been a lasting issue on PC for example, due to how the game started out without any public local chat, and how it still doesn't have a global chat for everyone to come together in, which is pretty much a bottom line for any MMO type game, especially if it depends on cooperation as much as destiny does in later stages of the game. Additionally, if an alliance chat and global chat were to arrive on PC, we could very much use a better chat window that lets us switch between Tabs, each for their own chat instance. (One for Global, one for local, one for whispers etc) Of course, that should be fully customizable as to what tabs we have, what shows up in which tab, maybe a tab for the status messages that pop up on the left for who drops what, if a high value target spawns (which can be useful for spider bounties if you're just waiting for your target)... There is a lot of room for improvement and elaboration on this idea specifically. But these are just ideas of like 5 minutes, so suggestions, additions etc. would be welcomed.
