The thing I was most looking forward to in Forsaken was to learn to enjoy Destiny's PvP. To know that a quest like the Broadsword would be in reach for me and to use it as an opportunity to WANT to play PvP. I've been strictly a PvE player, but have always wanted to be more multidimensional. I thought the Broadsword quest, and maybe even Luna's Howl, would be the perfect thing for me to chase after.
However, after seeing that the quests are Character-based and progress made is recorded individually and not account wide, it was discouraging. With random rolls, armor perks, and the endless possibilities for synergy amongst loadouts, this quest restricts you. Some days I might want to play a different class. Maybe I have a weapon that only sees potential with a Warlock wearing Ophidian Aspects, a weapon that dominates in air combat so Lion Rampants would excell with it, and etc.
This design choice making it harder to complete isn't what bothers me the most. It's the fact that I have to dedicate my time and restrict myself to only one Character. It just seems so unnecessary. I don't think I'll go for it now as, like I said, I want to learn. That includes being sufficient with all classes.

I'm curious as to how everyone going after these as well feel about this subject. I don't see how anyone actually likes this approach, but I'll try to be open-minded.

No one else thinks it should be Account-wide progression?
