This Week Has Felt Like A Waste Of Time
Terrible RNG. Literally every "powerful" and Prime engram drop has dropped lower than the gear already in that slot. Meanwhile, I've got half of my gear pieces as much as 7 levels lower than my overall. Anyone else?
[spoiler](I'm not asking for a buff, or handouts from Bungie, or anything else like that. Just a mini-rant)[/spoiler]
Edit: I finally got a useful drop, and bumped my heavy weapon up 13 points, so that was nice. It can get annoying with bad luck on drops, but overall I'm really enjoying the game since Forsaken.

1 ReplyHad a friend that, out of about 10 powerful rewards/engrams, got a cloak for every drop but 1 and that 1 was a sidearm. He also had an exotic drop that was way lower than what he had. I think they should have some sort of system in place that prevents you from getting an item of the same type as your highest gear. That way you still have to work for all of the rewards, but it prevents you from hitting a wall of shitty rng that doesn’t let you progress simply because you get the same item every time.

4 RepliesTerrible week for leveling, great week for rolls. Better Devils: Outlaw and Kill Clip Badlander: Rampage and Slideshot Go Figure: Outlaw and Kill Clip Ace of Spades (shut up, lol) The Badlander drop was especially important because it allowed me to FINALLY get off Telesto and make room for Ace of Spades. Telesto is just outrageously good in the energy slot. To avoid depression with this game, I try to focus less on how badly this game cucks me when it comes to leveling up, and instead focus more on hunting down legendary loot rolls. Yeah, I'll hilariously underleveled considering the time I've put into it, but that's just Forsaken. Never before has a Destiny release had such little respect for your time investment.

All my powerful engrams except primes have dropped at least one to three levels below my overall. Every. Single. One.

If you’re doing everything right and playing the game, you shouldn’t get “lucky”. Bungie’s rng is broken as -blam!-.

10 RepliesD2 Level Up Guide Tier 1. 520. All dailies, weeklies, etc go up to this afterword, they will drop +1 above your overall LL Tier 2 540. This is the nightfall after this it will only drop +1 gear. Tier 3. 560. This is the dreaming city, after this it will only reward +1. Tier 4. The raid will continue to reward powerful gear after this, at least up to 580, I haven't made it there so not sure after that. Prime engrams will always drop better than the +1.

Also the few “powerful” engrams I got from activities were at my level or 2-3 lower. I hate saying it but this kills (In my opinion) the game a bit for me, whats the point in doing shit if Im not getting stronger stuff like I’m supposed to?

I managed to climb 14 power levels this weekend. Luck played a big part in that.

3 RepliesI've enjoyed most of the content I've played, particularly things like Ascendant Challenge and the Well, so it's been time well spent. Not massively fussed about Light Level progression, yeah I get annoyed when I get gloves 3 powerful in a row, but luck changes eventually. Weapons are the endgame for me and had a decent week, however I can see from miles off that there are not enough weapons in the pools at the moment. There should be so many more gun options. I did get the Raid HC though so I'm done with my good luck for a few weeks!

Been boots or gauntlets for me. And Edge Transits, of course. The upgrade path kinda breaks if you have one item that’s significantly (15-20) lower than everything else, as I usually seem to do. It drags your average down low enough that everything else comes in too low.

Yep. Chaperon came in like all the blue engrams 515ish. That's awesome when your in the 530s. At least I got some glimmer out of it

Not to mention the issue with the same heavy weapon dropping over and over and over again. It has been a waste. I still haven't even had time to play on my hunter, since I am at least trying to get one guy raid ready.

Best week I have had in awhile, went up from 532 to 546 and almost 550.

Same here. Had all of my weapons above my average and all of my armor below. 5 out of 8 seemed like good odds and I got 4 heavy weapon drops 4 energy and 2 kinetic (I'm counting rank up packages as well). Then I got a chest piece (a plus) but then got 2 more chest pieces below. There reaches a point where you just assume you're going to get screwed on a drop. Super waste of time this week.

Every -blam!-ing powerful I got has been a -blam!-ing double. I’ve literally gotten 5 cloaks, 3 primaries, 4 boots, 2 chest and 3 helms. -blam!- this game.

4 RepliesI play for fun and to kill time would like to do the raid when I’m high enough, my concern is by then I will need emblems, must have ran it 257 times the usual lfg nonsense.
