I'd rather avoid nerfs. But my point stands.
Suros fires at 360rpm with "dual speed reciever" on, and all other 360rpm autos outclass it at range.
I think a buff to range is called for and obvious. IDK why bungie did what they did, makes little since to me.
Why do you think that?
Let me break it down for you;
The 360rpm rifles are the slowest firing and hardest kicking autos in the game. Sure, they have good damage, but their ttk up close is poor compared to faster firing auto rifles, smgs, shotguns, sidearms, fusions, etc.
Where they should excel is medium range, and if you land your shots, they are pretty good guns.
Suros fires at 360rpm with "dual speed reciever". It shares the same damage as all other 360rpm autos when firing at 360rpm. Yet, it keeps the range value of a 600rpm auto. This means that up close, the damage is fine, but it drops off too quickly to be effective at medium range. Of course you can still get kills with it at medium range, but against other 360 autos, pulse rifles, and even 450 autos... it feels kind of weak.
Suros was a medium-long range gun in D1. By changing it, it hardly feels like the same gun anymore. That makes me sad.
