In your planetary director, you should see planets with a yellow-ish circle (no clue if it's different for color blind settings). Sometimes the circle is thick and others it's a circle with a plus (+) in the middle. Select a planet with such a symbol (or the Vanguard, Gambit, or Crucible) and find one that says it's a daily or a weekly challenge. Do that.
