Hey all,
We’re aware of reports that Sleeper Simulant feels strong in Gambit. The Sandbox team is currently looking at potential changes to help with this. We want to retain the strength of the weapon, but tune it so it doesn’t feel to be the only viable power weapon in this mode.
We’ll provide more details when possible. Stay tuned to official channels for updates.

I don't know the technical details behind the scenes, but can the team just lower the base damage and increase precision damage? It wouldn't kill a full health Guardian in one body shot, but it would still hit like a truck on precision hits.

Just take off tracking, WTF do they have to know where we are anyway, invading should be risky you've made it easy. BEST option an what I'd prefer, turn of player tracking, all except for the person invading, so those being invaded know where they are now, that would level the playing field.

8 RepliesPeople that are complaining are the ones not using it!!! It works both ways lol. When i hear an invader i step back and wait to see which side and just shoot him.. linear rifles work the same way. People don't know how to play and expect you guys to help

1 ReplyCan we just make it so it won’t one hit body shot? Increase the precision damage to compensate. I think the one hit body is the whole issue.

Perhaps have it blink every 2 seconds or even 3. Being able to see the players at all times is the OP part. If they can't always see them, then they can't sit back and snipe or hit with sleeper. They will have to move more and increase chance of being countered.

In my opinion, we need a nerf to Power ammo: 1) Don't reduce the amount of ammo a player can hold, just make it so there is less ammo to find. OR 2) On death - remove all of the player's reserve ammo for their Power Weapon. Reducing the amount of Power ammo a player can pick up should be an easy fix. For instance, have a brick of ammo grant 2 Sleeper rounds instead of 4 rounds. You could apply this change to every Power Weapon and as a result players will have to think a little harder about when to use their ammo. The second option is more polarizing, because you are punishing everyone who dies period. Every time a player dies they are left with only the Power ammo in their magazine and all reserve ammo is removed. There will be more risk involved and players will have to play a bit safer if they want to keep their precious ammo. Players who die often will end up hurting their team while players who can stay alive will likely dominate. I would not mind having either of these fixes implemented in Gambit, but I would think most of the player base would prefer the first option.

Its not the weapon its the constant player icon after going through the portal to the other side the enemy team are lit up like xmas trees. Have them blink for three seconds on and off then give the attacking player 10 more seconds on his invasion counter. Don't touch the weapon and stick your fingers up to these moaning turds.

The problem is that every map is a bowl and there are very few ways to escape the sleeper or a sniper. Don't change the weapon change the map design so one playstyle isn't completely dominant.

How about tuning the need for MW Cores... You want to fix sleeper issue > teach morons how to stay behind cover and strategically take someone out. Cheers to those Warlocks who float nice and slow in mid air with 15 motes... No nerf is needed. Thats ridiculous.

You are seriously going to Nerf this gun... People will just use snipers.. Nerf them then! No issue with anything.. It is now going to get a dam Ammo Nerf to allow only One round... And two shots to kill a Guardian.. just wait!. Stupid move Bungie if you.xhange the gun.

2 RepliesHonestly I get nuked by snipers and generic legendary linear rifles way more than sleeper. Why? Because the invader knew exactly where I was and I didn’t know his location, and he sniped me. Sleeper has nothing to do with that, it’s just another gun, there’s plenty of weapons that OHK you at range besides sleeper. Bungie, you don’t need to ultra nerf weapons to below the Mariana Trench because some people are saying they’re OP in a couple activities. Yes I know there’s some hyperbole in there. Just don’t want another generic boring sandbox where every weapon is as weak and bland as the next.

Like I have said in the past exotic weapons do not belong in competitive play instead of nerfing the weapon as you guys at bungie usually do stop the nonsense and take out all exotics
