Hey all,
We’re aware of reports that Sleeper Simulant feels strong in Gambit. The Sandbox team is currently looking at potential changes to help with this. We want to retain the strength of the weapon, but tune it so it doesn’t feel to be the only viable power weapon in this mode.
We’ll provide more details when possible. Stay tuned to official channels for updates.

Edited by HeaDShoT: 9/18/2018 2:13:40 AMAll you cry babies won again. Is it too hard to take cover? To snipe or use the sleeper back to counter? Y’all are pathetic and literally ruined a perfectly good exotic with the “let us Cater to your inability to adapt and play” attitude. I don’t even use it in gambit and don’t see any issue with how it operates. Watch these same people will be asking for a buff when they make into the raid when using the spit balls they will nerf it too.

2 RepliesJust buff Edge Transit and we’ll all be fine
-
Just buff the amazing Edge Transit to Gambit and that’s it.
-
I dont see a problem. But maybe just to shut people up just take the invaders heavy away. Problem solved. LEAVE THE SLEEPER ALONE!
-
Its the -blam!-ing player tracking that makes sleeper a pain in the ass. Not the weapon itself. Dont go nerfing weapons because you create a game environment that promotes spamming a weapon like sleeper. You guys at bungie can be so dense you can't get out of your own way.
-
2 RepliesAll you -blam!-ing whiners remember this shit when sleeper is the first of many weapons to be nerfed into the ground, and you realize it was better before you cried nerf.
-
Edited by vioLence: 9/18/2018 3:20:41 AMHere we again. Nerf fusion rifles? By the time we get our thousand voiced it will be nerfed in to the ground... the downfall for destiny is your SANDBOXTEAM!
-
Feels strong? Lol, that’s rather vague. You can also get killed by snipers across the map very easily and they don’t even reside in the power slot. You might as well nerf every super then too. There is nothing like getting ambushed by a stealthy supercharged energy Rambo while having a big target sign floating over your head.
-
Just nerf the damage drop off at range so the further away you are the less damage it deals
-
Do not nerf a great, hard-earned PvE weapon because of a few whiners.
-
It just needs damage drop off at range. When you can cross map someone with it then it's a problem.
-
So does everything else, but I dont care. One shot kills dont bother me none....
-
2 RepliesEdited by Phoenix: 9/18/2018 3:16:59 AMI'm waiting for the inevitable death of Sleeper Simulant. Please separate sandbox tuning so that nerfs needed in PvP do not affect PvE and vice versa.
-
Loving the quickness in which you guys respond to issues. Keep it up. The game feels fantastic again.
-
2 RepliesRemove player tracking icons That's it. You're granted an overshield and have the jump on players who are focused on banking, that's enough. You don't also need to know exactly where everyone is
-
Maybe just lock out the heavy slot when invading?
-
6 RepliesThen just make a mechanic that doesn't allow heavy when invading. Then you dont have to ruin any weapons.
-
3 RepliesWhy don't bungie ban Sleeper from Gambit
-
Some of us who play the game aren’t as good as others. I am part of that group. As an older gamer my reflexes just aren’t as fast as most who play the game. (I was a BEAST at pong back in the day though.) That’s why I got sleeper. It’s an equalizer. It gives those who are willing to do the work an advantage. That’s how it should be. Same goes for Whisper. (Which I don’t have.) The point is, I worked to get sleeper because I NEED sleeper. I was getting slammed and I found a way to level the playing field. Don’t ask for a nerf, do the work and find a way around it. I know it’s infuriating to killed on a one shot, but that’s what makes the game fun. It elicits emotion. I’ve been one shot killed by Whisper, by rocket, by grenade launcher and yes by my beloved sleeper. I’ve also been barraged by the Ace of Spades and Crimson, which sounds like the theme to Bonanza by the way. Leave it alone. Let everyone find a way in game to overcome the obstacle. That’s what makes it a game. Don’t make it easy, easy is boring.

4 RepliesWhy not just give it a different damage scale when hitting guardians? Simply give it a 1 to the head, 2 to the body damage and (for example) 5x damage to creatures of the darkness.
-
Just takeaway the invaders ability to see opposing team
-
1 ReplySleeper doesn't need tuning (nerfing), just remove it from PVP, When will you people freaking learn.
-
6 RepliesDon't nerf anything, let the whiners figure out a way to beat it themselves
-
Only in ganbit strikes raid and regular shit it stays the same i use sleeper all the time now since im not really high light lvl in pve now.
plus i need sleeper in the blind well ill be dam if i shoot a glowing enemy an he doesn't die. 😤
I killed 2 players with 2 shots of the Aachen-LR2 today. Be sure to nerf that. It's way too powerful.
-
Why not remove it from Gambit there's a first for everything so might as well start with that
