Hey all,
We’re aware of reports that Sleeper Simulant feels strong in Gambit. The Sandbox team is currently looking at potential changes to help with this. We want to retain the strength of the weapon, but tune it so it doesn’t feel to be the only viable power weapon in this mode.
We’ll provide more details when possible. Stay tuned to official channels for updates.

9 RepliesAh. I see streamers complained enough that you’re looking into it. It doesn’t need anything done to it. Working as intended. Perhaps you should be looking into the unnecessarily ridiculous overshield that invaders have and people wouldn’t gravitate to the only viable weapon to take down invaders. Teams should be sending their best to invade, not just anyone who can make it to the portal first and let their overshield carry them thru a 1v4 situation that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the game. The overshield gives an advantage to alter the match way much more than it should as well.

Read some ideas of work arounds for this game mode and the sleeper simulant issue. Great gun that one shots. The gun was a grind to get, so let's not ruin it. Maybe, we change the game mode a bit. That might possibly be more work on bungies end, but they can manage. So possible changes: the invader doesn't see the enemy (enemy is highlighted) until a certain distance (ex. 20 meters). Or the invader doesn't see the enemy highlighted at all. Or both the invader and the enemy can see each other. The gun is only good due to the element of surprise and the distance the gun can travel with it still one shotting the enemy. With some changes to the game mode both players will have the opportunity to react to the invader or invading. I'm not on board with the nerf. I believe there are other viable options to helping level the playing field.

-
6 RepliesYet another example of PVP ruining PVE.
-
5 RepliesDo something about shotguns then or make snipers better.
-
Do something about iron banner packages dropping below 20 LL
-
More lies please!!!

You dont need to nerf the weapon just give people less heavy when they pick it up easy and yeah is anoying but people grind hard for it so they deserve to use it as it is
-

We all know what this means, from experience. I bought this game to use good gear and space magic. Stop ruining gear. Just give people MORE OPTIONS, not less!!! Buff other fusion rifles.

Edited by Dryheave_Disco: 9/18/2018 9:11:59 PMDon’t start nerfing things now. Gambit is fine. There are plenty of viable power weapons.

2 RepliesTeamwork beats the sleeper or any invader. If it's not sleeper bearing the lonewolves it'll be something else.

1 ReplyAfter you nerf this ,,what are those crucible nerds want to nerf next, There is always something these idiots going to flock to, then cry to Their buddies in bungie. Seems like bungie always cater to them. It never ends they make a gun that works well, then nerf it into the vault. Look bungie don’t make good weapons that last a week. Give us boring under powered weapon and make your crucible buds happy.

1 ReplyI would have given it more time to see if it gets truly overplayed. It most likely will be nerfed by one shot of ammo per heavy brick.

The Sandbox team is currently looking at potential changes to help with this.
Is this the most dreaded statement we could ever hear from Bungie? No good can come from this. Players out there that love loot........be afraid....be very afraid.

pvp always ruins everything.
-
Here we go let's ruin a good weapon because of some pussies being killed.
-
The ppl dying to sleeper will die regardless.
-
Here we go again, ANOTHER FUSION RIFLE NERF!!! (This one actually seems appropriate)

Remove the buff for vision and mote tags for the invader when heavy weapon is equipped. That solves the pre-charging issue. Let it come back after a couple of seconds after switching back to another weapon. This way you don’t have to take a weapon from a player when they invade and don’t have to nerf the gun or ammo. It gives the 4 person team a little bit of time to react to a potential heavy user or they are not having to take on an all seeing power enemy.

Edited by Element: 9/19/2018 1:09:35 AMIs it really Gambit if people aren't using the sleeper.
