Hey all,
We’re aware of reports that Sleeper Simulant feels strong in Gambit. The Sandbox team is currently looking at potential changes to help with this. We want to retain the strength of the weapon, but tune it so it doesn’t feel to be the only viable power weapon in this mode.
We’ll provide more details when possible. Stay tuned to official channels for updates.

1 ReplyLmao at all the hiss crying about a great change. They didn’t nerf the damage they just knocked its aim assist down, which isn’t a problem if you can aim. No skill weapon turned into a semi skill weapon. Good job on this one Bungie.
-
1 ReplyJust dial back the aim assist on that weapon
-
1 ReplyThe Sleeper is more powerful than a Golden Gun. I don't think a weapon should be better than a super.

1 ReplyThis is actually a decent response to Sleeper in PvP. Idk why people are so salty over this change; it actually doesn't affect it's usefulness at all. Good job Bungie (no sarcasm). I hope you continue to address issues this way.

Separate PvP from e please instead of needing the fun out of e

8 RepliesSo seeing as you nerfed sleeper would you mind doing something about the cry babies that keep leaving every gambit match.
-
There are ways of changing it without affecting the weapon itself. I'm thinking only granting 1 or 2 shots per purple brick would be a good start (for gambit only).

What’s up with the Hermaion Blossom bug like Omg just fix this shit there are NO Trials and NO Heroic Strikes, like wtf am I supposed to do a 540 nightfall at 511 ???? This bug is known for about 2 weeks and I guys do nothing about this simple sh*t

3 RepliesEdited by countycheese770: 9/19/2018 8:20:26 AMYou absolutely FuKked up Sleeper, in Gambit at least. Dead on body shots not doing ANY damage. Have the video clip to prove it!!!! This has happened MULTIPLE times today. I understand needing to address Sleeper and Gambit, but whatever you did, whatever change you made, direct body shots are hit and miss, almost like you put "bloom" on it. Thanks..........

15 RepliesYoull nerf sleeper but ignore all the people bitching about the masterwork core infusion?
-
7 RepliesEdited by DeathPony07: 9/18/2018 9:25:02 PMHow did I know the PvP element was going to ruin Gambit? I called this shit before Forsaken launched. PvP ruins everything it touches. Of course you're going to nerf it, instead of just telling the PvP crybabies to stop standing out in the open when they get invaded. Unbelievable. You should be addressing the throttled leveling system and idiotic infusion requirements. This better be a 'Gambit only' change. Do not -blam!-ing nerf this weapon in PvE.
-
1 ReplyOr just remove all weapons except edge transit, that all that drops anyway That might make those sorry ass crucible whiners happy
-
3 RepliesSimple fix without nerfing the weapon, when you invade you lose all heavy ammo. This changes the dynamic and will force more communication about who should invade and when.
-
4 RepliesSleeper was never overpowered it was overused. If you guys didn't want the sleeper to be nerfed then stop using it! Bungie does this to get people to use different weapons. If you wanna blame someone blame yourself.
-
3 RepliesMy issue with the sleeper in Gambit and lets be clear, thats the only place where its a problem, is the lack of skill needed to wield it. I have a killer Crooked Fang linear fusion rifle with rangefinder and high impact reserves that I love running in Gambit. Except for the last shot, its a two shot body and one hit headshot. You really have to line up your shot. Its incredibly satisfying With sleeper none of that applies. Aim at the name and fugghetabahutit. I get that its an exotic superweapon but it feels unfair. Sure there are counters. You could hide like a b1tch. Grab a sniper, pop your super etc. But that means the overuse of sleeper is forcing a certain playstyle. I like to believe that most complaining aren't calling for a nerf to the weapon, just to decrease its utility in Gambit specifically. Its a crutch. We all figured it out literally day 1 before forsaken was even released. Besides all that, hats off to Bungie for Forsaken. They've done an amazing job with this DLC and they deserve some credit.

5 RepliesAll my friends are once again deleting the game! Ffs can yall get anything right? You people know everytime something is changed it breaks something else. Ib is a joke! Crucible is sweaty as ever! Gambit is buggy! -blam!- this game. I have 100 others to play until ac origins and rdr release.
-
9 RepliesAh. I see streamers complained enough that you’re looking into it. It doesn’t need anything done to it. Working as intended. Perhaps you should be looking into the unnecessarily ridiculous overshield that invaders have and people wouldn’t gravitate to the only viable weapon to take down invaders. Teams should be sending their best to invade, not just anyone who can make it to the portal first and let their overshield carry them thru a 1v4 situation that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the game. The overshield gives an advantage to alter the match way much more than it should as well.

I don't know if this is is the way for doing this but I will regret if I don't do it now. My suggestion for the problem with sleeper in gambit is to let the exotic armors work like an anti-exotic, it could be a random perk or maybe like exotic mods only that can only be applied to an exotic armor and interacts only with one exotic weapon, for example with the sleeper the perk/mod could be to reduce the non critic damage that you receive when you get shot from sleeper. Making it so that you can't get one shot body shot and that way sleeper won't need a nerf, and every one that is complaining for sleeper could farm that mod/perk in an exotic armor and the guys that love using sleeper still coukd use them because not every single guardian will have equipped that mod especifc, maybe other guardian will search for something against graviton lance or other exotic that is constantly killing him in crusible or gambit. I hope you guys can understand me because English is not my native language.

Honestly melting point and the ep shotgun are just as much of an issue

Iv enjoyed reading everyone’s apocalyptic conclusions being rebuffed after this clarification.

FIX THE DAMN SPAWN IN PVP
-
This will pass. The game mode is still new. People are still learning how to play it. Sleeper is only good against someone standing still... I keep saying it - but when invaded, change your focus to PVP and team killing the invader. Nobody does this! They keep shooting mobs and gathering motes! Or keep shooting the prime evil!! You are gonna get killed no matter what if your back is turned!!!

Played gambit daily for a little over a week and never saw Sleeper. I read this post and now see it in almost every match I've been in now.
