OH COME ON. Does anyone in this forum see how much has been changed to create an engaging set of systems that works to our benefit in terms of time investment? With changes come bugs, and with bugs come, in time, solutions. We're not even a week into the game and ya'll are ready to completely dismiss all the incredible improvement that's come into the game because things aren't working perfectly first try? Being a fair weather fan isn't ever going to satisfy your demand to be catered beyond reasonable expectation. Filling the forums, the subreddit, and the minds of the devs and creators (who are clearly working their asses off to give you a game worth investing in) with this petty, self-entitled, crude, short-sighted, hurtful, uninformed, reactionary, "veil of anonymity' enabled horseshit accomplishes nothing, serves no-one, and perpetuates the worst kind of behavior the Destiny community, and the gaming community as a whole, has to offer. We are better than this. Eyes up Guardians.

  • game should have launched the way it is today, i don't see why anyone should be praising bungie for fixing what they broke.

  • D1 at launch wasn’t perfect, start looking at D2 and D1 as separate games, not the same.

  • So they didn't make the game fans wanted with D1, but spent 3 years getting it right, only to throw all of the lessons learned out the window and starting over in D2 with another barebones game, and your defense is that there was no way to prevent this because it is a new game?

  • I’m saying mabye you should think of it as two different games not a dlc or a add on

A new game, but most of the lessons learned from the first game still applied. What do you think your boss would say if every year after your performance evaluation, you dropped your performance and had to be coached back up again? Do you think your boss would accept that, or would he have an expectation that you improve year after year? Maybe he would just fire you and get an actual adult to fill your position.

  • D1 was a completely new game, so it had to find itself more or less and nothing is perfect but D2 had three years or learning what does and doesnt work but so much of what worked got scrapped.

  • It's not the bugs, I understand that, it the ways bungie responds to these issues and their community that "bugs" me

  • I agree. They seem to have a really arrogant way of dealing with the community. "We are the pros we know what we are doing" and ignore what players are actually asking them .

  • There basically killing a week of rewards because “some” people cheated. So we’re all punished and have nothing to do all week. Don’t forget the rewarded to cheaters and punished us.

  • Where are you reading this? There are 3 separate issues that I think everyone is intermingling: 1 - Milestone reset got hosed up and weekly reset is not coming for "some people". This one is on Bungie (not cheaters) and an odd/poor response unless the issue is they can't identify or fix the reset without affecting everyone. My take: if you're worried about what to do for a week, maybe you need to re-evaluate some things in your life. 2 - Prime engram exploit affects those that used the exploit. To offset the bigger gain you got now, they're slowing it down in the future so you're back in line with everyone else. Everyone else still has the normal rate of return. Seems fair to me. No punishment for "us" that I can see. 3 - Raid chests is the closest you're getting to "cheaters" (admittedly I don't know how the PE exploit works and I don't care to know). As we know, the every community has it's explorers that will push the boundaries of what's possible. They got to a space that should not have been available but was. They got some gear from it. Bungie messed up but they can't really take it away. If you drive through a new intersection that has no stop sign, the cop can't give you a ticket for not stopping. All (s)he can do is put the sign up. The exploiters "get away with one" here but how is there any punishment for "us"?

  • Well said. Tbh for the minority that did score the raid chests by exploiting a glitch (yes I have seen the ‘sparrow jump’ it’s not exactly a gaping whole in the fabric of time/space as some have claimed in defence) they will have to bear the taunting that may come from fellow guardians for sporting raid-wear ahead of the raid itself. Who knows mass teabagging may become a thing for the glitchers? I have always been in the camp that’s worked for what I have attained - seems to me that the glitchers are actually cheating themselves out of the buzz they will feel when they finally score that very same gear from a raid boss/checkpoint? Just my two pins.

  • They are rewarding players who cheated the system. To say it’s okay to exploit a game to get an edge on other people is BS. So the rest of us loose out and people who exploit the game get rewards. Seem legitimate....
