There are a few posts about this going around, but the short version of the fix is to uninstall all add-one except base game files, make sure auto updating is turned on and hard reboot your system. Then fire up Destiny and let it do its thing. Do not manually reinstall any DLC files. Those are simply pre-release download modules, from my understanding and don’t necessarily need to be there for you to play the content. I had this problem, did the above and it worked great.

  • Thanks but as stated in my post, I did reinstall and do all of the above and it did NOT help. But after sitting on the error screen for about 10 minutes, the game let me in.
