The Nature of the Ahamkara (Think Tank)

As we approach D2’s release of Forsaken,it becoming more evident that there is an Ahamkara. For those who don’t know Byf has released a video discussing this topic and the most recent reliable leak. He mentions or rather hypothesis that the worms and Ahamkaras are one and the same but the worms are just simply corrupt and altered by the darkness. link : to Byf’s video Although this is all speculation (the worm gods and Ahamkara) what is the true nature of Ahamkaras if they are simply uncorrupted worm gods? What does this mean about the destiny lore as a whole? [Peoples Thoughts] While there might be a relationship between the Worms and Ahamkaras, the description of the Ahamkaras (while they do share some key characteristics) is no where near what Xol looked like (exoskeleton, wings, eyes, jaws). Some say it maybe a whole new species that evolved with the Awoken.

 • I saw the vid and I found it interesting that he mentioned the jaw structure as a similarity. From the skulls of Ahamkara that we know, we can see that they share the lower split jaw. But since that body feature stayed the same, why did the Ahamkara loose an eye, while the other one moved into their mouth? Ahamkara clearly have eyes on the sides of their heads. I don’t think corruption can alter your mouth and head and upper jaw by that much, while still retaining the lower jaw. I don’t think corruption works like millions of years evolution. It could be a homology, but I think the split lower jaw still serves some function.
