I think I know where the City might be located

As the title suggests, I think I found a good lead on where the City could potentially be located at. And it’s all thanks to everyone’s “favorite” Grenade launcher from Curse of Osiris, the Colony. As the lore of the Colony reads:
Have you ever watched a snake kill something? It's awful. It's so awful. I watched a man die of a terciopelo bite once. Out by the northern wall. I still have nightmares about it. Anyway, that's where VEIST comes from. The inspiration, I mean. Weapons with all the power of a venomous creature. Plus an onboard AI with that creature's killer instincts. And now there's the Colony. A grenade launcher packed with fully mobile, AI-controlled insectoid detonators, each one designed with a taste for blood. We've made some pretty messed-up stuff. You've probably seen it. You know. But we've never made anything like the Colony before.
When you first read it, you just see what the foundry, Veist, has Based it’s Weapons off of: the deadly predators of the animal kingdom. Mostly reptiles, insects, and arachnids. However, it’s their love of these creatures that gives us an insight on where the City could be located. Read the first paragraph of the Colony lore. Notice that key detail? Don’t see it?
Have you ever watched a snake kill something? It's awful. It's so awful. I watched a man die of a terciopelo bite once. Out by the northern wall. I still have nightmares about it.
“Terciopelo” is our key detail in this. “What is a terciopelo?”, you may be asking. The terciopelo is in fact a real species of pit viper sometimes called a “bothrops asper.” These extremely dangerous snakes are often found ranging from southern Mexico to northern South America. Here is a map showing the range of this serpent: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7f/Bothrops_asper_Area.PNG/220px-Bothrops_asper_Area.PNG Judging by the graph and the detail of the bite taking place “out by the northern wall”, we can make an assumption that the Last City of Earth is located at the Americas. Most likely South America. Edit: I would like thank Phantom (not full name, so no name-and-shame ban for you today Ninjas), for reminding me of the Andes theory for the City location. Map of the Andes: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/6a/41/de/6a41de39db995297698f09d5e0c0da44.gif As you can see, the mountain range runs along the west of South America from the South all the way to the North. Compare the Andes map to the terciopelo map, and you can see that the most northern part of the mountains intersects with the most southern part of the snake range. Taking all of this into consideration, I firmly believe that the Last City is in South America. Specifically near the countries of Columbia, Venezuela, and possibly Brazil. Edit 2: After much discussion, I believe I can safely place an exact, or at least a really close, location of where the City could be at. Based on the wildlife, the geography, and other hints we have been given, we can reasonably assume that the Last City on Earth is located within Columbia.
