Broken Crucible
I see all these posts about people complaining about the plethora of issues in Crucible. It is complete cancer. I haven't had a decent game all day. Why isn't bungie seeing this? Seriously, the health of your game is at risk. The crucible is plagued by terrible connection, horrible matchmaking, literally, everyone running the same loadouts all the time and half the supers don't function properly. So what do we get? Hunters with Wormhusk Crown as an Arcstrider with Antipope and Graviton Lance. Is this really what you want for this game? You have 3 classes, 9 subclasses and only one of all of that is reliable. You have hundreds of guns but only about 4 of them are any good. I used to love PvP in D1. I miss picking up anything and having a great time. But this. This is an atrocity. If I want to have a good K/D I have to use the aforementioned formula or else I will lose every match. I don't want to play that way. I don't want to play with sheep mentality. I understand that there will be a meta at all times. But this meta is by far the worst in Destiny history. It promotes passive play, too much team firing, and herd mentality. I really hope that this new sandbox change renders Graviton Lance less useful. I want variety. I want individualism. I want to see people enjoy Crucible. But everyone dreads it.
And the people that hate SBMM are fools. You just want to only go in and pub stomp lower skill players all the time to make you feel better. I want to get better, I want to play people at my level. Not no lifers that just g.lance everything in packs. In what way is that fun? In what way is that supposed to promote gameplay that people want to come back to? Instead, you see people in these forums hating it. You want people to hate your game? Do you want to make it so that fewer people are inclined to play because they are forced into a game mode that habitually punishes people?
Especially comp. That is a joke. All for a gun that isn't even good. That is the single most frustrating thing in existence. No one wants to sit there and play hours a day to squeak out a 10 point progression on something that requires 1,000+ points to acquire. Not everyone is a professional player. And most of us that are really trying to put the effort in only see ourselves take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. And it is impossible to get better at a game mode when you are faced against the best players using the easiest guns in the game.
I swear, if the sandbox and DLC do not dramatically fix this atrocity then I want my money back on full. I will delete this game and never touch a bungie game ever again in my life. Listen to your community bungie. People don't complain without reason. People don't call for nerfs because they want to. There is a plague and only you guys can fix it.

I am right there with you. The whole point of crucible is to have fun, try out new weapons and learn how to use them. What is the point when everyone runs telesto and shottys? No matter where you go on the map you die. Went from at decent average, to negative every match

1 ReplyYou know what the most satisfying feeling in the Crucible is? Jade Rabbit-punching an Arcstrider out of their Super. Anyway, I had a 6-7 lose streak going earlier today. I took a break, went to the store, did some laundry, and came back. When I got back I was refreshed enough to close out my 2nd Valor reset along with my 5th SoH Crucible win. Take a breather, relax. It's not the end of the world.

1 ReplyWhenever I see people demand their money back I like to see how much they’ve played the game. You’ve played D2 for 30 days of your life. You’ve likely paid about $100 US for that. That’s about 13 pennies per hour of entertainment that you’ve received. That’s all. I won’t judge. Just like to put things in perspective.

Honestly I just hope this pulse meta ends, tired of graviton and vigilance up my butt. And it got so bad I actually used it to win iron banner. Or atleast rage most of the time until I won. My favorite quote so far was "Idiots! The zone is not the plague! Go get a zone!!!"

Not sure about you but I've been using Crimson in pvp for the last week and been doing pretty good. Sure, Graviton still can kill me easier but I can also kill people using it just as easy.

2 RepliesYour rant is null...its like you haven't kept up to date at all with destiny. The crucible is changing within a couple weeks. Practically makes this just a rant for the sake of just being a rant lol. Its not that what you are saying isn't true. Its that crucible has already been addressed at the beginning of the month. So don't sweat it. Just go take a break till then and enjoy something else.

Bungie needs to make an entiltled version of Destiny 2, its where the game comes preloaded with 100% completion of all activities and every item available through a kiosk. Items will have a dunce tag like adept versions, just dunce instead of adept. This way people can buy the game, and immediately start playing other games because they think Destiny is trash anyways. But the ones who decide to play still will be marked with shame, but they will have what ever gun they think they are entilted to.

2 RepliesEdited by notHazen: 8/20/2018 1:04:24 AMSBMM is a great thought, however for the extremely high tier players (i am not one), cue times would be awful having to play a small majority of god tier players, thus there is not SBMM, and if you have any skill at all, you CAN use different guns, sure it will be challenging, but you can use different guns.... also, Redrixs Claymore despite what everyone says, does do some work, you have to be precise with it, and can’t just hope to hit all bodies with it and be fine, once you get desperado procked it is the best, most fun gun in the game to use. Sorry, but there’s always different options to use other than meta, and I know they aren’t better than graviton, but that’s what you’ve got to challenge yourself with.

If the only way for you to do well to use the easiest, least skillful gun in the game then you’re literally the same as the people you’re complaining about. If You can’t do good with anything else besides a graviton then you’re crutching on the same weapon they are just to do well. Although graviton is better than most weapons and I agree it’s quite annoying to play against but if you’re a decent player your skill shouldn’t have to do anything with a weapon otherwise you’re just another meta crutcher.

Loadouts will probably change a lot come the 28th. Matchmaking is fine. Connection issues.. that’s probably not going to change.

Crucible is really good right now. I don't live in it or anything, so I haven't seen a ton of lag, at least not like it was in D1. I don't like SBMM because I don't want every game to be a sweat fest. It's nice beating the breaks off scrubs from time to time. Is it perfect? No, but it's better than it has ever been in D2.

The connection issues have made crucible a pain. I can’t lie, shooting dudes that take no damage just for them to pop up somewhere else and 1 shot you. Bullets bending corners. It’s all just ridiculous at this point. Go back to connection based matchmaking.

6 RepliesPersonally, I think Regular Crucible should only allow Crucible weapons, have a mode that comes around once a month that lets you use anything; but for the majority, you have to use Crucible weapons. The lore is it’s a training ground for Guardians, so take away their crutches and force them to get used to weapons they wouldn’t otherwise use. Iron Banner should also give you 3x the tokens for using all IB gear. What’s the point of offering it if doesn’t stack up against weapons gotten from PvE? Give people an incentive to use it and try different things. Break the meta a bit, make these “heroes” show how good they are without their crutch weapons.
