Sagira (Osiris's ghost): Her name in Arabic is "صغيره" which means "little one" if translated to English.
Ir Halak (The deathsinger in Kings Fall raid): Her name "هلاك"/ "Halak" means "doom" if translated from Arabic.

Edited by jafer_33: 8/20/2018 11:58:21 PMI never thought of Sagira! It really fits perfectly as Osiris is middle-eastern in origin!

We also have Ishtar Sink and Ur, one of the Worm Gods which are both derived from ancient mesopotamia.

What about Ir Anuk and Ir Yut?
-
I feel like they missed their shot in naming her "Little Light" See now that would be an Easter Egg
-
Osiris actually called her that at the ending of CoO campaign.
-
Well yeah, but making her actual name in Arabic translate to "Little Light" would've been a nice joke for the Vets

Edited by TeWrecks: 8/19/2018 6:45:36 PMYeah missed chance but it would be too obvious, right? When he called her that in the story I was like wait, where did I hear that before? And lo behold it was the stranger's line.
In the original D1 story Osiris and The Stranger knew each other. She was his assistant or something like that.
Oh yeah totally threw me for a sec
