7/10 times someone is having a connection related issue it's usually the person's NAT type. 2/10 times it's because the platform you're on (pc excluded) is having issues. 1/10 times it's DE servers. and usually that only happens on an oversight like in a patch or something new (like DE had server crashes because of how twitch rewards for watching was originally handled.) or if they're being DDOSed. which usually happens whenever tennocon that year happens.

In the network setting it sometimes says open nat type, but it isnt always correct this thing screwed me over several times before Use the "test multiplayer connection" and when its done dont press continue but instead press and hold LB + RB + LT + RT a new screen will popup with the correct nat type This is pretty much al their is you can try from the xbox side of things But in my case having closed or moderate nat typ gives me lots of disco's and errors in destiny, warframe , gta, the division ect...
