I just got the Wardcliff catalyst today. I’m rank 62 with Zavala and I have 220 additional tokens. Just curious to see how everyone else is being treated by RNG.
Edit: I realize that using Vanguard ranks as a gauge for this probably isn’t the most accurate option considering variables such as challenges granting additional tokens and the fact that many people did save up tokens from season 2, it was just to get a more general idea.
Edit #2: STRIKE CATALYSTS ARE: Wardcliff, Prometheus Lens, Coldheart, Riskrunner, and Merciless

2 RepliesI have 2. I’m Vanguard rank 90+. Wardcliffe was the most recent around a cpl weeks back. So definitely over 50 and Merciless I got early days, so under 50. Ties in with Bungie’s 50-50 gameplan I guess. Catalysts should have been “questified” from the beginning to obtain. Example: Raid specific catalysts should be tied to raid completions/raid specific encounters. Eg, Acrius catalyst should be a guaranteed drop on 5 normal completions/1 prestige completion. Strike specific catalysts should drop on 20/40/60/80 strikes with guaranteed dupe protection. I liked how they did the Faction rally catalysts. And the Whisper catalyst. Every other one though is hidden behind a shocking rngeesus who appears to have gone on a long sabbatical, probably trying to figure out if the earth is flat, round, or an endless string of elastic wrapped around a white coating with the words Titleist 1 written on it. Questifying would’ve made so much more sense and given players more stuff to do/chase. Just another bad decision in a long list of bad decisions by the devs.
