Hey community,
I was just DDoSd 2 games in a row by the PS4 player. In the first game my 4-stack was matched against a duo and 2 solo players. Before we even started our match, one of our players was kicked - suspicious right? We took the first 3 rounds of countdown 3v4; and then I was kicked as well. At this point it was obvious we were being ddosd, but we didn't know who was the perpetrator.
We queue the next game, and we match against ONE of the solo players from the previous game. I recorded a 30 second clip of me suspiciously losing connection before the match started, once I rebooted my teammates informed me that they were also all kicked one by one. What can be done Bungie?

Call the police. They always take this seriously and usually report the incident to the FBI, the NSA, and even the CIA. I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up on Trump’s desk first thing tomorrow morning.
-
Did one of their names sound and look familiar to anubis?
-
Bung will do,nada, very hard to prove The Who,unless they are dimwits, smart ones use tor making it very hard to definitively find the culprit
-
Dude as much as I’d love to name and shame cheating scumbags, bungie takes a fit when cheaters get named
-
4-stack sweaty players should just get cued in a separate lobby, it’s ridiculous, and it would be fine.. but if the randoms are lvl 27, 18, 30 And 30 And only 1 guy is using a weapon from the trinity.. well damn.. Another loss to a 4-stack whom damn well know why they won because of the unfair matchup. But still have to be disrespectful and childish, because their lives are meaningless. Crucible is garbage, don’t play it.
-
Ddos players are bungie’s security team on night watch. :/
-
While that sucks for you. 1. Bungie will do nothing about it. 2. You will be punished for calling out a cheater. Even with proof Bungie will still punish you not them. If you don’t want to get in trouble remove the name. Bungies policy is to protect cheaters.
-
Go to very bottom to fill out cheater form https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=13967

Hmmm.... Let me post this right here. Was down 4-1 and came back to 4-3, then this happened. Coincidence? Don’t think so. It’s a short 30 second clip. https://youtu.be/hyMa8fnt8bg
-
Update : matched him 3 times now, have been removed from game 3 times now, along with my entire fireteam. Again.
-
Bungie and their shitty P2P system being exploited and their reluctance to ban cheaters, as usual.
-
There should be a shitlist on Reddit for these guys. Since you can't list em here.
-
I was ddosed in an EP event not too long ago.
-
Report it to Sony with evidence, make sure you have the PSN names of those involved with at least images, screens or a vid. It is an actual crime both in the US & EU.
-
Report it with evidence, there is a submit option somewhere on bungie site, where you can do that. Creating a post won’t help you. Google search is your friend.
-
Yea I got a whole list of people who I’ve been ddosed by Here’s some names if you wanna report em
sike ninjas! You though
Edited by optismo: 8/15/2018 4:10:30 AMThat sounds more like Destiny networking. If you were ddos’ed you would lose all internet for at least 5 minutes, more like 15. No way you would all got back together and matched the same person again right away.
-
If he hit you and others with a DoS attack, your internet would stop working completely, and he'd be racking up wins fast enough to be at the Flawless area before your internet came back on. Not saying this isn't a serious issue, but he likely did something other than hitting you with a DoS attack.

Question for the community: Doesn’t DDoS knock you completely off the internet for a long period of time? I thought it knocked out the entire service at the location. Would the player even be able to log back in / rejoin the match? Thanks for clarifying.
-
Call the police and report the ddoser and bungie for defending them.
-
Edited by Smough: 8/14/2018 8:48:07 PMGetting kicked from a game isn’t a ddos. It’s called being disconnected. Maybe the reason bungie doesn’t allow people to post names is because of how many false ddos reports there has been. People getting accused just because they were in a game somebody disconnected from.

I literally just got lag switched on in an iron banner match. One of the most obvious ones I've ever seen. Won't reveal his name, but did report him 3x in game. May upload it to YouTube just to see if anyone experienced the person I ran into

Just report the names and hope everyone else who encounters them do the same and they will be banned for it. I think you can actually be console banned for it also so yeah do that :)

Edited by not_ sure: 8/14/2018 2:03:18 PMUs legal measure not bungie . It’s a criminal offense to hack networks. Or try change your ip password from default if you haven’t already bungie doesn’t care at all

Not a DDoS.
