I love this game but holy crap I’m so sick of comp solely because of one stupid subclass. If you don’t play arc hunter you might as well go -blam!- yourself.
-
I would personally like to see a rule in competitive were only one of each subclass is allowed on each team. It would make for much more interesting gameplay, and prevent explotation of a particular class. With that, I never see it happening.

Edited by InTheZone: 8/15/2018 4:45:28 PM-Disorienting melee that has the most ridiculous stun -Dodge reload/evade/recovery -tiny hunter hit boxes compared to bigger titans/warlocks -arc bolt nades that have a huge bast radius and don't roll making it easier to control where they detonate -melee super that has an extra 10ft invisible lunge making it impossible to melee them out of their super if they know when to uppercut. -instant high jump allowing for more evasiveness and confusion. -massive damage resistance while in super, they have tanked an entire antiope kill clip before I died, probably had 1-3 rounds remaining. Yesterday I had two direct hits with play of the game and they tanked with 10% health remaining. Anyone that's says hunter aren't the best for PvP are clearly trolling.
-
Combination of things right now that make hunters too strong right now in comp- It's mainly that with worm husk you can completely negate the notion that you will be punished for bad positioning, right now, if an arc strider is caught off guard and gets shot with graviton from far away, they can too easily escape without punishment, gaining health and damage reduction in the process.
-
Hunters were always the strongest pvp class.
-
That -blam!-ing super can hit you from 5 meters You see the animation of the melee from 5 meters and you die
-
People who play hunters are pussies.
-
Every other super (except nightstalker obviously) can one shot them.
-
Kill them back
-
I heard the warlock suppression ability called “Nova Bomb” works pretty well.
-
Anyone else don't really care what subclass their opponents are using? I just shoot and stuff happens. Guess I pay more attention to what guns people are using instead of their class. Every class has its bullshit. Hammers and Dawnblade is just as powerful as arcstrider so bitching about just one super is weird to me. Wormhusk is overused not overpowered. Regardless of class, a lot of players run away like kittens anyway.
-
so beat em. You can do it.
-
The cycle ends here. We must be better than this.
I just remembered BDs nerf back in D1
-
My tractor cannon spits on the graves of Arcstriders.
-
There's nothing overpowered about Arcstrider. It has good synergy and a good super.
-
Just jump back and shoot. They are squishy.
-
Attacks that don't land should drain more energy, -blam!-ing hate not being able to kill an arcstrider who is one shot because they spam their attack none stop.
-
Hunters have been cancer since d1 launch My enemy is not the cabal or fallen etc... Its hunters

Edited by PR4X1S: 8/15/2018 2:04:47 PMEither ruin their day with Tether, or blast them with Hammers. Another great strategy is to run void Titan, when they're close activate super and defend with that shield, they burn out just hitting your shield, then finish them off. Don't bother with warlock unless it's Nova, anything else they'll ignore.
-
Which is precisely why Trials needs to be removed from the game. ...and Comp too while they're at it.

Edited by Hazel: 8/15/2018 6:25:18 PMYou clearly haven't played a good sentinal or dawnblade main

Arcstrider isn’t the problem with comp, trust me. The problem goes far beyond a single super. -
Hunter has been completely designed around pvp, you can see by most of their exotic armor perks, and abilities. This doesn't excuse bungie though for the shameful disregard they've given the poor warlock of late, all they've really got any good is Nova.
-
Bad players need all the crutches they need in order to be “good” but they’re not.
-
Best is when your in a bubble, minding your own buisness and just happen to be holding tractor cannon, as 1 by 1 they come into your bubble and go flying back out again. Love it
-
Really tired of Hammer titans and Daybreak warlocks man... Arcstriders are too easy to beat...
-
If you're looking for a change, play some Mayhem where you'll regularly run into quad Sunbreakers. Everything explodes and everything is on fire. It's crazy.
