Favorite gaming related gifts you’ve received?
Good evening everybody! This is Aifos coming to you alive from right here! Yes, right here, where I am waiting patiently.
Papika: “Happy birthday, Aifos! Here’s a candle! Make a wish!”
Thanks! ..Where’s the cake?
Papika: “I didn’t get you cake! Just a candle! I think, the cake, and the presents aren’t the important part, but the fact that you’re heading into the future, carried by your hopes and dreams.. And the candle is where you put all those hopes and dreams, so I got you a candle!”
Well, that’s sweet, Papika. But not as sweet as frosting!
Papika: “Hmph.. You don’t even like cake!”
True!
Anyway, today is my birthday, and a birthday is one of many occasions where society dictates it’s time to give gifts! Seeing as how we’re all gamers here, I’m sure we’ve all received our fair share of gaming merchandise in the form of a present!
So, whethet that’s a plushie, a console, a game, or a sheet of stickers, what’s your favorite gaming related thing you’ve received as a gift?

[i]But[/i] I am excited for that SNES Classic I should supposedly be getting! Never got to play some of those old classics, like A Link to the Past, and Super Metroid.
I am disappointed Kirby’s Dreamland 3 isn’t on there, though... I’d love to replay it![/spoiler]

2 RepliesWell, I bought Ruby's headphones from RWBY a few days ago. A couple days after I ordered them my brother said he'd pay for them as a birthday present since my birthday is coming up soon. So there's that, if it counts ^^ And she's in a few games, so that counts as gaming-related >.>

1 ReplyI don't get many gifts relating to gaming (though my gf may be getting me the last FFXIV soundtrack I need for our anniversary this year), so you'll have to settle for favorite gift I've given. Alright so, FFXIV is an MMO, and like many MMOs, it has a large social aspect to it. As such people can use it to live a second life. I got my girlfriend in it around a year ago. During her time in it, she stumbled across something she really wanted to do, player marriage. There were some requirements in order to get married however, the main one being you need to be at least level 50 (she was level 20ish at the time.) We discussed what we were going to do around late November - early December, and she agreed to the free marriage option (there are 3 ceremonies, getting more customization options the more expensive you go. There's a free option,a $20 option, and a $40 option.) By the time she got to level 50, OT was early January, so instead of the free option, I decided to buy her the $40 one, for her birthday in mid January. It wasn't a big gift, but boy did it make her happy. So now we are happily married in game, and I didn't even ruin this wedding! [spoiler]we got married in a different game a few years earlier, and the music I played to accompany it was super dumb.[/spoiler]

1 ReplyMy parents bought me the gameboy sp when it came out so because it was back lit so I could “play anywhere.” I think that’s when I really became a gamer for sure. Always appreciated that my parents never ridiculed me for playing video games a lot.

1 ReplyIt wasn’t technically given to me as a gift or.. at all but I found it in a trash can and it’s been on my desk ever since. It’s this coach gun from ‘The Order 1886’ I think but a triple barrelled shotgun is badass. I stole Ron Swanson’s idea of a shotgun on a swivel mount so now I have this replica gun on a swivel in my office in LA... now I miss it...

Then a long while before that, I got a *shudders* [i]Five Nights at Freddy's[/i] poster, shirt, and golden Freddy plushie. Ew. Regardless, I really appreciate my non-video-game-loving family trying to get me stuff I like, even though they don't understand much of it. It's nice of them. Happy birthday! 1 Replyfor Christmas (I was like 4-5) I opened a present and it was "New super Mario bros Wii" but we did not have a wii so I was very confused but then I opened the big box and there was a Wii! I was so happy I still even play it sometimes to this day.
