Give Ward Of Dawn Weapons of Light!

I don't want to cripple the new warlock super, so dawnblade can keep blessings, but give ward of dawn weapons of light again. The buff doesn't have to be as substantial as D1, but something extra to actually make us use ward of dawn would be nice. Weapons was never a problem in D1 (Defender was one of the least used PvP classes) and a less substantial version wouldn't matter. Either give Ward of Dawn its infinite health back of weapons. Warlocks have their rifts and lunafaction, hunters have insane orb generation, celestial nighthawk, and nightstalker. The only things Titans have is melting point. Give us an usable Ward of Dawn back. Edit : You can make it an exotic, it might be more balanced that way. Edit : Thanks for the likes, I hope Bungie sees this. To those who say that Warlock already does this. Empowering rift has to be placed in an area, while WoL is roaming. The buff doesn't have to be as strong but enough to make a difference. Also, imagine stacking a ward of dawn, well of radiance, and a rally barricade or lunafaction. • Ehhhhh...no.. go back to D1 if it's that important to you. Warlocks FINALLY have a role to play, and you kids are bitching and moaning about it at every turn, just because you can't be a swiss army knife anymore.

    • Yup. Defender class is shiet. Offensive wise it sucks. Defensive wise it sucks. Support wise it sucks. All because the main perks of the class where given to warlock abilities. Which makes no sense honestly. As you say, only usefull stuff titans have is melting point which is usefull on a select scenarios. Hunters can make use of inseane orb generation as you say many other scenarios. Same goes for luna faction, blession and ofensive rift. Nighawk golden gun is always awesome. So do raiden flux pole dancer combo. So yeah, i still dont know why defenders nor titans overall cant get some love. If titans are really going to focus on DEFENDIN make it that we can give other players a shield, or regen.

    • I'd give up both for Res in a heartbeat. Screw the notion of Warlocks being support.

    • They seriously just need to give Helm of St. 14 the option of weapons or blessings and they would not only revive the exotic but an entire subclass as well.

      • Sentinel is the best SUPER in the game. I have my reasons. Although it doesn’t have the best grenades (I think suppressor is possibly the 3rd best pvp grenade behind pulse and arcbolt), the subclass as a whole offers more versatility than any other subclass. The doomfangs CAN make your super last longer than arcstrider with raiden flux if you’re a titan master. It’s the only class in the game that can cancel a super with only a grenade. Blocking with a shield can stop pretty much every super, allowing you to make some counter moves that are incredibly impressive (haven’t tried to block a nova bomb yet though). You have a bubble option for capturing objectives or diffusing bombs. I get that you want weapons of light, but the subclass is already the most useful and versatile subclass in the game. Warlocks need more love than titans do (this is coming from a titan main). Let them have their new dawnblade subclass. It’s gonna put weapons of light to shame. Besides, we’re getting a Reinhardt shield in forsaken. If that isn’t badass, I don’t know what is.

Nah you’d be stepping on a warlocks toes. In destiny 2 it’s the warlock’s job to give your weapons a damage boost

Bungie seriously needs to realize how bad bubble will continue to be if it doesn't give SOME level of support on the outside. At this point it's just a panic super for pve and a way to cheese countdown. It's new buff is stupid and honestly feels quite insulting that, rather than just give back what titans had at first, they continue to give to the warlocks without trading us anything back. They even took the utility of rally barricades and just handed it to the warlocks in the form of an exotic. Ugh it's just so annoying. Titans only have ad control as their specialty but all 3 classes can do this. The versatility they are trying to give titans is falling flat on its ass because they are taking the "punch everything" titan meme too damn seriously. I like blowing shit up and beating things to death with my bare hands as much as everyone else, but everything being only that seriously gets old. Sentinel sucks as a support subclass and has better offensive capabilities. Commanders shield is just shit aegis with no damage boost to allied fire so it's just a big shield to make it seem like you are helping (as dps decreases because of it). Sunbreaker blows shit up. Burning maul causes enemies to get dizzy. Fist of havoc smashes. Thundercrash SMASHES. Bubble is the insane asylum designed to keep the crazies (and the voices in your head that try to escape) safe. It's cool titans are finally being more focused towards a offensive subclass, but I miss the optional support role of bubble. It was a nice shake up to being a pure dps class. I'm sure hunters felt relieved in some way when nightstalkers became a thing. I don't know though, it just feels so uninteresting to be playing exactly the same again. Just run in and smash... As much as people probably will disagree with me in terms of commanders shield...3 words: Well of radiance. It heals fast as shit, increases damage, has a long duration, and is perfect for boss damage and such. Commanders shield allows allies to shoot through your shield without amplifying the damage, so really having it on your team just makes it a waste when during most pve boss phases the boss will be staggered to death or basic healing rifts could suffice to keeping you alive. It's essentially not going to be useful for raids because it lacks the utility it tries to bring to the table. Protecting your allies DOES NOT MATTER unless it allows you to help them kill the enemy.

                  • Ward of Dawn is about is see a substantial buff to durability, the strength of Armor of Light, and a buff to melee damage inside (Fists of Light?). While not perfect, these changes aim to make bubble bros a thing once more. If they did decide to bring back Weapons of Light then they might as well bring back The Glasshouse and make it the perk on that. Or better yet have Weapons and Blessings be swappable on it.

                  • No, no more weapons of light. You'll love my idea, I know it. It will stay armor of light, but being in the Ward of Dawn will rapidly regenerate you and your allies' abilities including the cooldown for Supers(this would be slower than the grenade and melee of course). To balance this though, the Ward of Dawn will need to stay as easily breakable as it is now. Additionally, the Ward of Dawn will grant 1 instant revive to the caster, should the caster die, call it the "Rise and Shine" perk. It stays active as long as the Ward of Dawn is active, but the Ward of Dawn will disappear upon death still. Take this as the the Ward of Dawn detecting the caster's death and reacting quickly to transfer all the energy back to the ghost to administer a rez. You see what I am doing? Warlocks want to keep what they stole from the Titans, fine. We will just take what they once had. In the end, I know Warlocks will envy us once we would have this, and would do anything to trade this back with us.

                    • I would like to see the Titans have more group utility too.... not sure I want D1 stuff back tho would much prefer if Bungie made an effort and came up with something new... Right now Warlocks are more tanky than a Titan have better group support and hunters are better damage dealers... Titans are left in at the bottom they dont do anything well in a group and are never needed over the other two classes....

Should never have been taken out from D1. Literally gave warlocks this as a ability, but there was no need to remove it from the bubble.

                      • Weapons of light isn't necessary, even if it returned in its D1 form lunafaction boots will still be significantly better, providing they don't stack. Not having to move around to refresh a buff and not having to reload is superior. However, Blessing of light is a totally different story. Having security while in my swirling circle of boss tears would be a huge buff for sentinels. Because I don't think anyone would place with worst tree for the worst subclass just to play second fiddle to warlocks who have the best neutral game tree in the game, Devour.
