You ignore that this is qp and not comp. QP by definition has no team play (maybe this will change out of necessity for lower tier players in the future). Single player skill has a much more dominant role in qp. And you're right. This may also be the reason why most games are blowouts. Whoever has the 90p player wins. Basically the rest of the teams are just there to fill up for the one man show. You know, the one that comes into this forum and tells all how awesome the new QP is and everybody should have as much fun as he has. Well, we do know that mindset: "Why aren't they eat cake?"

  • I probably fall in the top percentile, and I'm on PC (the sweatiest platform). When I solo queue, I'm still winning less than 75% of my games, and I can put up 40+ kills with a 5.0+ KD and still lose. At my level, the previous heavy SBMM made it so if the other team had even the slightest advantage, they will spawn camp you right out of the game. There was no, "Oh I lost but I had a good game." As for the social and casual environment Quickplay is supposed to foster, I do feel guilty when I play QP with my friends who happen to be of similar skill. But I'm also happy to be able to take my unskilled friends into QP with me, and now they're likely to be able to engage people at their skill level too. The 6-stacks are pretty cancer. I even feel that way when I'm on one. I think these players will get bored with the pub-stomping after a week or two though; it's just something that wasn't even an option before. I know my clan will be going back to private scrims this week.

  • Thanks for your great response. This is the response I would have expected from all the top players in this forum instead of the "git gud" and "you learn only by playing better players". But I took this tip by heart and when I start boxing, I will have my first fight with a pro boxer - because that's where I will learn the most after hitting the floor 3 seconds in the fight :)
