Because bungie is dealing with a community of millennials that never played halo or any sort of actually FUN pvp in their life. Destiny is full of millennials that have never even heard of a pvp mode that doesn’t play like slayer or elimination. So when you throw them a curveball and ask them to play an objective, they’re instantly like “wat is this bs, I’ve got at least a 6.0 kd this match, but our score is 0 and my skrub tm8s are just sitting on the cap point and getting farmed for elo. I’m going back to comp with my m8s so I can get some clips for my montage that all 2 of my subscribers on YouTube will be keen to.”
