Basically the way I see it is that they have noticed a drastic increase in the active player base while this mission is active so they, of course, time gate the material, thus giving players only a small window of opportunity to do the quest. For some people, like myself, this is not a problem. However, when the quest does show up it takes HOURS of sitting there doing patrols / public events/ cleaning the house waiting for this mission to arrive. This is shit.. But Bungie loves it, they know that this quest brings back a large amount of the player base to earn/achieve this reward (which just so happens to be one of the better items in the game) and it has. Now, if they just simply kept the quest open during this weekend time, people would get it very quickly (even though its a difficult quest for most) and everyone would have it, then would sign off until the next new thing. With this recipe, they get all of their players back in the game, and keep them there, for hours and hours at a time. God forbid you fail, well you could be there sitting, waiting, for the next attempt. This is not a bug, this is not an oversight, this is intentional. Do not expect bungie to change with Forsaken
