I'm interested to know where the community now stands on this question. When it was announced that D2 would be a complete restart, the majority of the community rejoiced. I was crucified for suggesting it should be otherwise. When I began playing destiny I did so under the assumption that what I was winning and achieving would remain relevant for the 10 year life of the franchise. Something along the lines of WoW.
If D3 is another reboot like D2, I don't see myself having the desire to invest my time and energy into the series.
Where do you stand?
For the "hurr durr why you play this trash game" haters, I have one question: why are you here?
Quit wasting my time
If I buy a game titled "Destiny 3" I should be getting a new game. I will not buy a D2 expansion called "Destiny 3."

I would quit for good

1 ReplyD2 wasn't a reboot. It was a chance for Bungie to profit from the same assets all over again without offering anything new in return... Wait...

1 ReplyWtf is your problem are you a employee of Bungie?

When I heard they were "restarting" i had originally thought they were merely meaning a new story... not a full on frickin restart that made the game so streamlined that even a toddler could play the game. I honestly feel if they wanted to make a new game, they should have just made a new game.. With how they handled the "restart" if they do the same with D3... I wont be buying it.

1 ReplyNo. With the inclusions of catalysts and the changes coming to D2 to finally make it a really good follow up to D1 I think its time Bungie needs to realize they shouldn't take away everything from D2 and let us start from scratch completley on D3. At least give players something when we move over.
