Arcstrider is meta...

Bungo Bungo Bungo... What have you created? A super that can kill any other super in a "fist fight". A super that last longer then any other super without any exotics. Ah yes! And a super that can lunge and kill you without even touching you. Ladies and gentlemen, I present Arcstrider. A simple fact: its meta. Thats right. This subclass is up there with Vwing, GravL, Antiope and Wormhusk. Lets get one thing straight,it does NOT necessarily need a nerf, but other supers need to be tuned like Arcstrider. If I pop Stormcaller I shouldnt die because it takes me 3.4 seconds to kill an Arcstrider whereas all he needs is to quick swipes. I shouldnt have to hit an Arcstrider with two shields only to see his health only a smidge from death. Something has to be done. Possible solutions: =Stormcaller damage should scale the longer a target is being shocked. Overall greater damage reduction in super.( How come an arcstrider can pop his super on red health and screw everyone up but stormcaller cant?) =Sentinal shield throw should always be a one hit kill. Overall damage reduction in super. =Dawnblade needs a bigger damage radius, needs to deal more damage and travel like 50% faster. Cant tell you how many times people just jump over your swords or how many times you hit a gaurdian and he still has 70 health left. The above is a suggestion, something to build on.

  • 1. Arcstrider loses to all Titan supers Nova blast,nightstalker, golden gun. 2. Nova blast can kill anyone in pvp super or no super the range is stupid and it can track you. The time it takes to use is almost an instant so you can react to almost any super 3. your just salty cause you die to it alot

    • when i see an arc strider, i am confident that i can outplay it. most arc striders spam senseless and r more used to opponents running away. I did notice that many players use it, but that it is easy to use. Although only easy on other weaker players. with so.many out there, i have managed to find many counters lol. I keep my super as a counter to shut down arc striders. Dawnblade is probably one of the best counters as u could just go high above the sky and take out ur opponent, even without the flying, it only takes one centered blade at close range to shut down an arc strider. Which for some reason, the majority of arc striders get tempted to shut down another super, not knowing i am just waiting for them to get close enough for a 1 shot counter. even wihout a super. icarus dash and gliding lol. the amount of shut downs i pulled with that. i even have a video of icarus dashing through an arc strider and killing the player. also, once a few minutes r into the match, save ur power ammo for countering arc striders. Although the best counter to use would be team shotting properly. i usually glide above the arctrider and shoot out of its reach, while pulling the opponent's aggro while my team mates move in for the kill. keep in mind, most arc striders try to go for as much kills as possible, so they pull it on crowds, as it does have the capability to do so, players being aware of this have the ability to shut them down everytime they try. We usually identify arcstriders and team up on it. worse case scenario, one person goes down at max. it is not meta in my opinion. it is great at what it is meant to do. it can be countered easily, it is fun and could be very scary in a skillful players control, but then again that goes the same for anything else.

        It's D2Y1 in 2024. Such a terrible time! - old

        Since the lauch of D2 stormcaller has been the worst subclass. In combination of no synergy, weak super, terrible abilities and worthless perks. Electrosatic Surge- Your rift charges faster with nearby allies. We already have 5+ exotics that do that already. Chain Lighting- chains Lighting from the struck target to nearby enemies. It's been worthless since D1 and dooes nothing but kill two thral once per melee charge. Arc Web- Chains DEADLY lighting to nearby enemies. No where near the lethality as D1. Some how arcstrider does more damage with arcbolt then stormcaller with Arc web. Arc Soul- Grants aid in battle. I'm sorry what does it help to do? It doesn't help anything in pve or pvp. On top of all that it takes the longest to kill of any super in both Pve and Pvp it struggles with enemies of all sort. Can be one shot while still attempting to try and kill another super in which your tickiling them. Crown of tempest is meh as it prolongs tickling and not to much more. Replace Arc Soul with Super Conduct doubles stormcaller lighting chaining capabilities Replace Electrosatic Surge with Pulsewave and bring back when stormtrance is active nearby enemies take damage and when critically wounded triggers increased speed for yourself and allies Arc Web needs to either be buffed or has got to go for a replacement give us back perpetual Charged melee kills recharge greande and grenade kills recharge melee. Chained Lighting either give us back amplitude or give us back Feedback so melee hits recharge melee and intesify melee hits. Making winter's Guille a usable exotic

        • Arcstrider possesses a damage mitigation perk while dodging. This is how they’re able to survive two direct Sentinel Shield hits with only a small portion of health left. Sentinel Shield bounces towards players when hitting a solid object so it can’t have a damage buff since the tracking will allow so many effortless kills. Dawnblade requires a direct hit to one-hit kill any super. I’ve used Attunement of Sky (the tree without any super related perks) to take out another Dawnblade in just one hit by hitting him directly. However, due to their mobility and damage mitigation perk, Arcstriders will most likely not die since they’re difficult to hit and can tank a direct hit while dodging anyway. Stormcaller is just utter trash at this point in time. It takes four ticks of damage to take out a player. That means it takes eight ticks to take out a player in their super. Add on the damage mitigation? You’re not gonna take them down. Stormcaller definitely needs its old damage back again to put it on par with the other subclasses.

            Trash loadout for trash players. And I've found that majority of the people using this setup talk the most shit. Had a red health guy pop arcstrider in front of my teammate and I (still shooting him by the way) and he still managed to get a swing off and kill me. Shit is broken. Meanwhile sentinel has pathetic swipes and the only good damage attack is a combo you have to do while airborne. And even then it has a chance to not even deal damage.

              • I hope people actually read this through. You make good points. Arc strider is a little over bearing at the moment, but it doesn’t need to change or be nerfed, like you also said. In fact, more supers should be placed on par with it. Time to kill needs to be helped. Supers need to feel like supers, especially in PvE.

                • Sure. Buff them all. I agree. Especially the Sentinel. But I ain't gonna act like I have not had my face Landfall'd the fxck off, or been trying to draw a bead on a Stormcaller and watch him blink off to my right and zap the shit outta me. [spoiler]Everything needs buffs. Is this Destiny 2? If you answered yes, then the whole game needs a buff.[/spoiler]

                • The issue with Arcstrider is that it’s neutral game AND super are extremely powerful. For the other subclasses, this isn’t the case. This is the reason that Arcstrider is performing so well. In addition, they’ve given it the wormhusk helmet, so basically it can out duel anyone. I think that it needs to be toned down a little bit. Wormhusk needs to be re evaluated, and the Arcstrider super needs a little tweak so that it doesn’t completely dominate everyone else. If people disagree then go look at the stats on guardian.gg It’s ridiculous how much better it is performing over the other classes.

                  • Arcstriders can tank an obnoxious amount of damage. And yes, Dawnblade slashes should travel faster and, in my opinion, in a straight line.

                    • It takes me two hits with Poledancer to kill Panic Fisters, and sometimes two for Hammer Times (depends on their Armor stat I guess). Both of those OHK me with their Supers. Only time I kill them is if I catch em REALLY off-guard and dodge at the right time.

                      • The only thing I don't like about it is when they swing at me and are 10 ft away from me I still get hit by it and the staff isn't even close to me. Other than that they can be countered pretty easily. Or tou can just run away.

                        • As a hunter main, i can say that Arcstrider is still crap! I will say that Arcstrider has been fixed to counter the competition and it is not OP. It was the weakest and stupidest super since launch day before bungo fixed it. It now has the right amount of speed and power to be worthy of using. And there is a way to always avoid it if you know how. Although, I hate the way it feels, the way the hunter moves in exaggerated motion with an artificial feel in direction. Its almost as if brief presses of the joystick make the hunter move by itself. Im not trying to say its OP because its not, but there is something wrong with the handling that feels stupid and that is why I don't use it. Blade dancer was 1000% better. Im sure thats why i also dont like Arcstride cause its nothing like the blade. Once you go blade, you never go back!

                            • In my experience Arcstaff is pretty low tier when it comes to beating other supers in a straight up fight. All the Arc Supers excel at clearing nonsupered enemies but lack when fighting other supered opponents

                            • My crucible competitive team always looks at what the enemy team is running and we set up our guns and subclasses to try and effectively counter them. I think a lot of people playing this game remain stubborn in using the same loadout they are comfortable with. Things need to be switched up every now and then

                              This use to be the worst super :) now it’s op as hell, I main a hunter have from day one in D1, I never liked it still don’t only use it to get arc kills, gg for me in pvp and night stalker in pve such a good team super
