My thoughts exactly since the first time I saw it. The Colony (despite it being an occasional pain in PvP) is one of the very few actually FUN weapons to get and use. 90% of the exotics available are just not all that special in terms of their design and/or perks and consequently aren't any fun or truly different to use. People complain about it in the crucible, I know... I'm of the "if you can't beat them, join them crowd" and fully embraced using it in PvP lol. One time I was sprinting for the heavy ammo, as was an enemy, but I got there first, got the ammo off the wall, and he was behind me so, I didn't have time to turn around and fire, so I fired straight at the wall in front of me and, as expected, the spiders turned right around and killed him lol. Classic Colony moment if there ever was one! Anyway, I think if we had more cool weapons and armor pieces like The Colony - truly FUN-to-use items - it would make the game overall a whole lot more fun. The complaining would lessen imo, because there'd be so many cool and fun (and possibly OP and unfair) options out there to use, making everything fun and OP would be itself a form of balance. Just let loose Bungie! Bring back the fun! Stop trying to make D2 an MLG game, it's not going to happen.
