No, I do not. This explains most of my thinking
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?"
- Epicurus
Also, as an atheist, I'm only one degree more of an atheist than a Christian, Jew, or Muslim. There's hundreds of gods they don't believe in. There's only one more that I don't believe in.

Ah, the problem of evil. That's only one of the few reasons for my atheism, but it's a good one. You're absolutely right about those who do follow a religion; they're the equivalent of an atheist with respect to every other god, meaning Pascal's Wager applies to them the same way it does for an atheist.

I'm an atheist too and this is an interesting thought, but why exclude the possibility that god is a sadistic asshole?
-
I mean, in the scope of deities, it's certainly a possibility, but then that would mean most of Christianity is "wrong" since they say their god is a loving, powerful, knowing god.

Never thought of it like that before.
