Post should have the word 'ancient' in it. Modern Egypt is an Arabic country; ancient Egypt was certainly not, at all. Also the symbolism does not represent 'gods,' or super-natural beings in any respect, as might be taught in white-western-Judeo/Christian primary-school education systems or found in the description on Wikkipedia...They are embodied principles.
I recommend reading R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz, rather than paraphrasing the internet of misinformation.

Long live Dr Ben. Long live Dr. Clarke. Long live Dr. Diop. Schwaller had some knowledge too. No disrepect, no shade.

Any reading recommendations?

As much as I would love to spend hours, upon hours of time checking for concrete references, one man can only have so much time on ones hands before the rest of reality comes knocking. I’m did originally edit the post to state ‘ancient’ Egyptian at the beginning, and chances are people know or already had a general understanding that’s what I was getting at. However I will take what you’ve said into account and will try implementing whether or not something is a god/creature/other being etc in future posts. (Also I’ll be looking into that book you mentioned).
